what is the best HCL +pepsin to take?

I've been advised to use hlc plus pepsin..can you recommend the best sort and where to source it please?

Probably a Google search is your best bet. There are capsules and tablets. If you use tablets be careful and ensure you swallow with plenty of water too get them down into your stomach. You don't want to get them stuck half way down, they are acid. Or you could get the capsule sort. I used Doctor's Best Betaine HCl Pepsin and Gentian Bitters capsules but Nature's Best do a small tablet Betaine HCl with Pepsin.

To be honest they didn't do much for me, I got up to about 6 or 8 capsules with my meal, that's an awful lot to take plus water during a meal and it did nothing. What worked for me was organic Apple Cider Vinegar With Mother before breakfast and evening meal, made into a drink with warm water and honey to taste.

Hi Bioluminence, You should try the organic vinegar as Seaside Susie suggests. It could resolve a lot of issues. If you go to iHerb.com, you can read reviews by people who have purchased the supplement and some are very helpful.

Hi did you get the levels of your stomach acid together with the good and bad bacteria levels?

I used betaine hcl and there is a massive difference between brands. Also under specialist supervision took a probiotic and uva ursi for five months. My stomach acid was 0. Now I just use Apple cider vinegar as the others mentioned.

Hi,

I prefer organic apple cider vinegar with a culture. Drink between a teaspoon or table spoon before meals, & see if that helps. I also like to use it on salads.

I rarely get indigestion, now. I have kefir every day, which has improved my digestive system.

I have been taking the Solgar brand for around 3 months and I've seen huge benefit. Hardly any bloating or gas and more regular and softer stools. It's been a win/win for me.
