Tens machine, recommendations please
I'm having dreadful nerve pains mainly in arms/legs 24/7 and some replies have mentioned using a Dual Tens machine. Can anyone recommend one, I've heard that the Med-Fit 1 is good. I'm taking medication but this only lasts for up to 4 hours and this is after it kicks in. Feeling desperate!

Does anybody know how much a pudendal nerve block costs privately in the UK?
I saw Dr Wong in Spire last month and he suspects it's pudendal nerve entraptment, he is going to get back to me when his colleague is back this month so they can do a nerve block. I'm not sure of the cost, I know he's like £200 just for the consultation so wondering if anybody has an idea how much

P.I.P are on their way!!...=-O
I received a letter last week with my home visit face to face assessment! "At last" I said to myself!! (Applied in Nov 2013) I'm gradually getting all the paperwork ready, as well as my new appointments for Pain management clinic, MRI brain scan, Neurologist consultation, Tens group and a change of meds

Is this normal
Hi I've been on gabapentin for almost 6 years along with a lot of other medication, my pain consultant suggested I come off gabapentin gradually over a period of 3 weeks. It's been a very tough 3 weeks, still in so much pain. I'm almost housebound as it is, however I've over the last 2 weeks I've noticed

Refractory epilepsy - where do we go from here?
Hi, I'm the mother of an 11 year old daughter who has refractory (drug resistant) epilepsy and is on the autistic spectrum. My daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 5, which was controlled by medication for two and a half years. Drugs were withdrawn, believing that her epilepsy had gone

Hi..... I need some advice please, fast.
Hi, As some of you may know I have multiple health issues, as I know many of you do. For the past year I have had severe neck pain, which then caused extremely severe occipital neuralgia. I am on 20 micrograms of Bu-trans patches at present, and waiting for a nerve block on Christmas Eve. On Thursday

Has anyone experienced having a neck nerve block?

Vagina nerve block
I recently had a procedure in my vagina as recommended by my gynaecologist. He said he would inject the tender area with steroid and anaesthetic. This tenderness followed childbirth and it only felt tender upon touch about 5cm inside. Since the injection 5 weeks ago, it now feels so much worse. Tingly

Nerve Blocks!
Would like to know if anyone has had success with nerve blocks? I have rectal-anal pain from PN. Told by neurologist there is a 90% success rate, with four injections, spread four-six weeks apart. Could anyone give me some input? Would appreciate as I am scheduled for this week. Meds do not work and

Occipital Nerve Root Block and Fibromyalgia
I am due to have an occipital nerve root block tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone who has had this procedure also has Fibromyalgia. If so was there any response that I need to be prepared for from the Fibro. I recently went to see a neurologist at his specialist headache clinic and he identified

TENS units.. any advice?
I'm still quite new to the possibility of endo, Ive been having pains for three years and finally had my first appointment with gyne. It looks like I'm going to be waiting another 7-8 months for my first lap, and I am still awaiting diagnosis (although the nurse at the pain clinic seemed to heavily drop

Long term chronic pelvic and lower back pain
I have suffered constant chronic pelvic and lower back pain since I was 35yrs old 24/7.At first the pelvic pain was like period pain. The symptoms are lower back going all the way round like a belt to the front above the public bone. The pelvic pain is worse I think than the back .., and can be described

Vagus nerve stimulation Radi4 program
I listened to "Frontier" on Radio 4 last Tuesday @ 21:00. It was about inflammatory disease and alternatives to DMARDs and biological drugs. There are trials happening in the USA and Europe which look very promising. It might be worth listening to the program on IPlayer if you are interested. This is
