What would you do?
Hey guys hope you’re all well and good. I’m researching my latest and greatest problem and am interested in your opinions, knowledge or first hand experience would be fantastic. Besides my laundry list of respiratory issues I’m left hemiplegic from stroke in 90, due to this I’ve overused the right side

For persons with IBS C
hi, I am on the Low FODMAP diet which does cause constipation. I have used a Mini "tens" device to stop my back pain and have found every time I use it I have to go to the loo, much more "comfortably" than usual. I wonder if this might help others having difficulty. I think most large chemists in UK

Flying after suffering a brain abscess
I suffered a left temporal brain abscess about 18 months ago. I've had set backs with my recovering but now feel fit enough to go on holiday. We've booked and will be going in a few days but it's a 5 hour flight and I'm worried about how it might effect me. Has anyone got any advise for me?

Pain is so bad and my blocks aren’t working anymore.
Hello fellow sufferers, Most of you that know me also know that I get 2 nerve blocks twice a month without the steroids only with the anesthetic. Well the last 2 that I got didn’t even last a day. In fact it felt like only my left side was done. I just got one done yesterday and the pain is

TENS machines.
Hi everyone. As a PV patient on Rivaroxaban, Hydroxycarbamide and Amlodipine, I know we’re not allowed ibruprofen. Does anyone have experience with or know whether we can use a TENS machine for muscle pain relief? Thanks

Hashimotos T3 & Pain killers
I’ve suffering with severe pain from bursitis in my hips and shoulders. I see an orthopaedic surgeon Thursday but want to go prepared as to what pain killers I can take and if I have to wait 4 hours after taking T3? I wait 4 hours at the moment to take aspirin and paracetamol for my constant migraine

Tens machine?
Hey everyone, I have severe endometriosis in my Pouch of Douglas and some on my urethra. I'm waiting for my MRI, colposcopy and then bowel prep and excision (hopefully they can finally get it out, this will be laparoscopy no3 to try to). So I've bought a Tense machine in the sales, no idea where to

Higher the ANA more likely it’s Lupus?
I have gone from being treated for Lyme disease to being referred to a Rheumatologist because my ANA is 1:1280. When i’ve read up about Lupus it’s such a strong possibility. With a level this high is it more likely to be Lupus? Anyone else with ANA at this level i’d be interested in your stories. Thank

ECTOPICS, ACID REFLUX AND CHEWING GUM
At the cost of being laughed at, I want to ask if anybody can give a reason why my acid reflux, which is often the trigger of ectopics, is stopped by chewing gum. I also have PAF, which comes up during the night for other causes, like getting up to pee, or nightmares, or no reason that I can imagine.

Shingles
Well have shingles for the third time, although this is considered rare! Seems that treatment for one thing leads to susceptibility to so many other things! Moan finished

Second consultant meeting this week - for cirrhosis....
Morning all, So despite being two months after the target date, my second post-hospital consultation is on Thursday and I’m getting into a flap (in a fear of stage fright way) about having everything I need on my list - most of us know how precious these appointments are and I really, really don’t want

VNS... what’s the word?
I’m talking to my doctor now about VNS and am trying to learn more about it. My understanding is that tool to use for treatment and becomes more helpful with time... I also hear about the side-effects. Can anyone comment on this ...or their experience?

Cant operate whilst on anti coagulates(edoxaban) so stop for 48 hours . 36 hours in I have a TIA . A little

Any suggestions to manage orthostatic hypotension?
My Dad has been diagnosed with PD - 4 years ago. He is on lc and that controls his tremors and relieves rigidity. When he reduced his lc recently those symptoms were significantly worse. Mostly he manages pretty well in his new home environment, but suffers increasingly with fainting / dizzy spells
