Hi

I’m no expert on Lyme disease, and maybe others can help with this.

However I’m a firm believer in ruling out all other health issues as well. The NHS are quick to label issues on anxiety etc etc.

As this is the thyroid forum Has your daughter had her thyroid checked out?.

I would recommend having blood tests for this. Testing TSH, T4 & T3, as well as auto immune disease.

If her GP will not agree to this then get private bloods done.

Medi checks and blue horizon offer this service. You can either pay extra for someone to visit your home and take bloods or pay extra to visit a local hospital (normally BMI hospital) to take your bloods. This must all be arranged via medi checks though.

I would recommend this blood test below. Book the blood test as early as possible in the morning before 9am. No eating and drink water only.

The results will come direct to you via email along with a GP’s comments (ignore the comments sometimes they are not correct) once you have the results, post them on here and the experienced members will help.

As you mentioned b12 injection I presume she has had vitamins tested, iron, Vitamin D?

Best wishes

My only understanding of Lyme is through 2 friends that have it, they both got no where with nhs but that was few years back before the Matt Dawson publicity and the chap from phones 4 U (john cauldwell) so it may have improved since then.

One friend got help in Germany, prob the only place that understands and treats lyme, the other unfortunately is house bound, his symptoms are chronic pain, joints & muscle, debilitating fatigue and now affecting his heart.

Unfortunately as with all these chronic long term conditions the symptoms all over lap so it is a process of elimination. Tbh anxiety is such a cop out for gp's just laziness and of course they get a bonus for prescribing antidepressants! Lyme like thyroid is very much a self help illness. Research is the only way, start with caudwelllyme.com/

most his family have been crippled by it and he now funds research xxx

Hi, I am in America, and I greatly sympathize with what you're going through. To touch only the tip of the iceberg, I was very healthy with Lyme disease and tickborne infections for many years, and this symptoms that I had did not greatly affect me between the years of 1981 and 1992. After my daughter was born in 1991, I developed bells palsy two times in 1992. That was a dead ringer for Lyme disease, yet it went undiagnosed and I was still extremely healthy until 1996 when I started feeling more fatigue after a lot of stressful occurrences and pregnancies, two of which ended in miscarriage. I managed OK, but in 1997 during my pregnancy with our son I developed severe anxiety. To make a 21 years story short, I gave birth to two children transferring the tickborne illnesses to them in utero and through breast-feeding. We are very well acquainted with tick borne illnesses! Doctors tests or incorrect at least 99% of the time unless you have a bull's-eye or some strange rash. Unless the doctor is a Lyme literate doctor, they probably cannot properly identify the rash if you were lucky enough to get one. I never had a rash and estimates are as many as 70% of the population never has a rash. The two best companies in the world that I know of for detecting Lyme disease and other tickborne illnessess are I Gen X in Palo Alto California, and another one that I believe might be preferable now called DNA connections. I will say that even with those tests even though you were more likely to get a correct test for Lyme disease and possibly Bartonella and Ehrlichiosis, Many of the other tickborne illnesses can go undetected as they need specific tests that still have difficulty confirming issues. Not to mention the cost which is astronomical. I went to one of the best Lyme literate doctors in the world at that time which was Joseph Burrascano. He recommended that our children see Ann F Corson Who is in Pennsylvania. Dr. Burrascano wrote the protocol for Lyme disease and coinfection's which can be accessed by going to ILADS.org. Dr. B is only doing teaching and lecturing at this time. Dr. Corson and Dr. B. along with some other Lyme literate doctors see people from around the world. If you want to go the doctor route, I would highly recommend Dr. Corson, But at this point my first recommendation would be to contact a holistic healer named Carolyn Libby in the United States. She also treats worldwide and can ship the product worldwide which are homeopathy Products, and her website is clibby@purplechanges.com. Her cost is extremely reasonable, and you send her a saliva sample that she works from. You can correspond with her by email. I highly recommend that you contact her. I can't tell you how my heart breaks for you and your daughter, as I can assuredly say my husband and I understand what you're going through and what your daughter is going through. Thyroid issues and much, much, much, more can result from tickborne illness. I cannot stress this enough. Another option is an amp coil machine which is made in the United States and would cost around $7500. It has literally helped thousands of people at this Time even though it is relatively new. It is an updated version of the rife machine invented by Royal Riff in the 1930s I believe. My first and strongest recommendation for you at this time would be to contact Carolyn Libby. If your daughter has tickborne illnesses, And that includes much more than Lyme disease, her physical and mental symptoms are a result of those tickborne illnesses. Carolyn's work is again much faster, extremely safe, and far, far, far less expensive than any of the others. I am not trying to give any disrespect to any of the doctors or to the inventors of the amp coil. Virtually all of these people have given their life to help people with tickborne illness. I am not saying don't get doctors tests, but for tickborne illness as I said there are almost no tests that are reliable. I've had them countless times, and had doctors simply saying everything from it's my hormones, to yelling at me in their office, to there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Many times most of the test results come out with glowing colors. Thyroid was one of the only tests that was skewed, but even most doctors don't know how to read that properly. I'm sorry this was so long, but it actually is very little of what we have lived through as a family trying to resolve tickborne illnesses. I wish you God's blessings as you choose your course of action. With love, Gail
