Hi everyone.
As a PV patient on Rivaroxaban, Hydroxycarbamide and Amlodipine, I know we’re not allowed ibruprofen. Does anyone have experience with or know whether we can use a TENS machine for muscle pain relief?
Thanks

Hi, Yes, I have used a TENS machine. It was a friend that suggested I could use his so I did. It was good and it worked well. No complications for me anyway. I mentioned it to my doc but she never commented on it really, so ....
Hi! I asked about this for I was going to physical therapy and they will not use the tens machine and my hematologist agreeed. This runs so deep into system that it can activate more cells..so, nomtens for me..😞
Hi Sallush
I had a peripheral nerve simulator inserted in 2008 down my spinal cord. It had 8 contacts and I loved it. I never turned it off. I continued to take strong pain meds but the simulator saved my life. It didn't take away the pain but it reduced the pain benchmark. I needed an MRI in 2012 and had it removed. The only problem I had was when I had the battery removed from my right buttock. I bleed through the wound and instead of the blood dissipating where the battery had been it formed a large hematoma. I found it difficult to stop the bleeding it continued to gush out of me. In the end the surgeon removed the clot and things settled down. I was lucky.
