Pelvic pain with the onset of menstrual cycle
I was diagnosed with hypertonic
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
about a year ago. With PT every three weeks and daily stretching exercises I have had some improvement. I am finding symptoms return or are amplified before the onset of my period. Does anyone else experience this? Any suggestions?

Newly diagnosed with PFD/instability; first round of pelvic floor PT starts this week. What has been your experience with PT?
If anything, this experience of
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
, if thats what it is, has made me eternally grateful for my health and painlessness. Its astounding what I have taken for granted all my life.

Pain and bleeding during sex
I found a new gyno who told me that I have
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
, and pudenal nerve damage. She suggested that I go to
pelvic
floor
physical therapy. I was very discouraged at first but my PT was AMAZING.

Need advice about urilogical symptoms....
Could this just be a result of hypertonic
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
? My
pelvic
floor
therapist thinks it is a result of the spasms in my pelvic floor. I am getting a second opinion from a urologist/pelvic floor specialist in November.

New member looking for others like me!
I have hypertonic
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
. My muscles are always tight and I often feel very uncomfortable in my pelvic area (pressure in my anus and vagina, lower back and hip pain, and urinary tract infection like symptoms). Can anyone else relate? And how are you coping with the daily pain?

Constant Inner Vaginal Pain since March
I've been to urgent care (no infections ever detected), the ER twice (inconclusive), family doctor (inconclusive), gynecologist (inconclusive), urologist (diagnosed me with
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
), urogyno (didn't know enough about PFD), so now I see a pelvic physical therapist.

New to this group and have some questions!
I’ve been diagnosed with dyssnergic defecation, in other words hypertonic muscles or
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
. I was wondering how I can possibly be treated, I’ve been going to physical therapy but I haven’t seen a huge improvement . Especially with constipation.

anxiety and pelvic floor
can severe anxiety cause
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
. please let me know if you have had this . I have burning pain in lower back and groin right side . I feel so restless and agitated and feel that this could have caused the tension and constant sensation of pelvic floor being clenched.

Constant Burning/Stinging Inside Vagina/Urethra
She referred me to a Urologist and they gave me a cystoscopy which showed no issues in my urinary tract - and he diagnosed me with
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
. Again my symptoms are constant burning and stinging inside of my vagina, and constant burning and stinging inside and around urethra.

New here
Dr after dr, who cannot agree if ic ,
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
, or pudendal nerve. Many, many tests and procedures.
Pelvic
floor
therapy has given me the most relief, but now my therapists are at a loss what to do next to help.

Pelvic Dysfunction w/ Anal Swelling?
I’m currently receiving physiotherapy for
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
and have been diagnosed with hypertonic muscles, trigger points, and resulting nerve pain. That all makes sense except for one symptom: my anus swells up frequently and visibly throughout the day.

Can anyone else feel twitching/spasms with no pain
I have vulvodynia and high tone
pelvic
floor
dysfunction
and I can feel twitching/spasms in my vagina, towards my urethra, and my rectum. It's feels similar to when you get an eye twitch but its like in the muscles down there. It isn't painful but it is really distressing and annoying.
