can severe anxiety cause pelvic floor dysfunction.
please let me know if you have had this .
I have burning pain in lower back and groin right side . I feel so restless and agitated and feel that this could have caused the tension and constant sensation of pelvic floor being clenched.
This has come a few days after me being very anxious tense about other symptoms.

Yes! It absolutely can. I’ve been dealing with that and actually needed physical therapy for it. But as far as I can tell, it’s all because of anxiety. Try not to stress about it
Thanks very much for your reply. I try to relax and breathe from my diaphragm but its not working for me at the moment. Did you get any exercises to help you?
A lot of it is yoga and some stretches that open up your hips and lower back because those muscles are connected to your pelvic floor. Definitely hard to describe without being able to physically show you, but I would recommend a physical therapist 100%. Breathing exercises didn’t work for me either at first.
Oh I have exactly the same symptoms as you all the time. It causes awful agitation and pain but I can't seem to relax at all. I don't know what came first the anxiety or the pain but it is truly awful. Do you take any medication?
Thanks for your reply. Yes agitation and pain. I can't get any relief. I take warm baths and do breathing exercises. I take ibuprofen but it doesn't seem to help. Its agony . I take propranalol for anxiety.
