Yes, I’m a huge fan of acupuncture for pelvic floor dysfunction

Find either a APM ( Acupuncture Physical Medicine or KM ( Keiko Matsumoto) style Acupucturist

I do not suggest TCM ( traditional chinese medicine) this style it did not help me

Increasing blood flow without trigger point release may not be helpful. It is the release of the tissue through Dry Needling or Trigger Point Release with the increase in blood flow that in my opinion heals the condition and lowers pain.

****Call and tell them what muscles are affected and ask if they have ever treated those muscles before. Ask if they do Trigger Point Release.

(If they ans speaking only about the meridian system, call another Acupunturist)

Might take lots of visits but if you find the right person(s). they could help if not solve the problem

Depending on what is affected, the needle can often be used for trigger point release thereby breaking the cycle of disfunction

Try each practitioner 4-6 times before casting any judgement. Move on after 6 if no improvement.

Many TCM practitioners deal with vitamin suggestions etc. I found the best results with Non TCM practitioners who are focusing the entire session entirely on needling.

Acupuncture is not painful. It has what are known as Valium points if at the least can give you pain relief for 6-10 hours for starters.

It can help with all muscle tension due to pain such as neck and abdominal pain.

Also, if you can find a dry needler they specifically to trigger point release and in some cases they can be more affective than acupuncture since you may want to release the muscles before you increase blood flow

Good luck hope it helps!

I have diagnosed pudendal neuralgia, with extremely spasmed pelvic muscles. Tried every treatment under the sun, finally got significant improvement, with the monster walk, which lengthened and strengthened my lateral hip muscles. I have told many sufferers this but nobody else seems to got ton the same relief. I guess that shows how complex this issue is.

I had pelvic physio for over two years with Ruth Jones at a considerable cost, never really changes anything, I suppose I kept going to keep hope alive. I tried many different drugs over the years they all seemed to help slightly nothing ever really gave me a lot of relief. I now take a small dose of tramadol and have a fairly good quality of life, be it that I can only sit on a doughnut cushion, but I am masses better than I was for many years.
