What are reasonable expectations for my neurologist
I have Parkinsons. I recently went in for my annual neurological checkup. After reporting in on symptom progression I expressed interest in knowing more about Nilotinib. To my surprise my physician really seemed to know little about it and dismissed the subject with the statement that "there wasn't

Is it enough to say, "Avoid Proteins"?
Greetings. I'd been wondering how to get the most out of my CD/LD and was curious about which protein-rich foods - chicken or chickpeas? - interfered most with levodopa absorption. It's 3 particular animo acids in protein that are the culprits - branched-chain amino acids (or BCAAs) named leucine

Leaky gut diet/constipation
This is my 8th week on the leaky gut diet. I never thought I could do it so I'm really proud of myself, and have lost 10lbs as well :-) I had a session with a Kinesiologist last week who reckons whatever I'm doing is working as I no longer have leaky gut (?) and gave me a list of what I am and am not

Natural Dopamine vs C/L
I was reading an article about this and can send a link later but wondered if anyone had any information about this. I guess the primary concern would be whether dopamine crosses the blood-brain barrier. It's late and I'm exhausted will check tomorrow thank you for your replies

I have early stage Parkinson’s disease. Recently I developed severe pain in my hip. The doctor says the joint is OK, it is the muscles around the joint that are enflamed. I took the medicine he prescribed and it greatly reduced the pain. Now it has flared up again. I am thinking it is a symptom of

Was this patient's long history of meditation a factor in the remission of his PD?
This morning while browsing through my daily Google alert on news about Parkinson's disease, I came across this reference: "A potential case of remission of Parkinson's disease " That of course grabbed my attention. I clicked on the link and found it referred to a PubMed report on the case

Hey, have you seen this? I don't have the heart to print the headline. I would hear your guffaws from afar. But this story from the Independent (U.K.) is pretty interesting.
