Constipation and enemas?
Hello, I see a few posts mentioning constipation. This is not one of my symptoms but I was wondering if anyone uses enemas these days? They seem to have fallen out of fashion these days, but at one time they were all the rage. I have used them in the past if I have been constipated and they are very

Diarrhoea
I have had diarrhoea for over 15 months. I have worked with my GP, Movement Disorder team, enterologists, naturopaths - with some improvements - but never returned to my previous "enjoyable stool" behaviour!! I am not losing weight, eating healthy diet, based on Ayurveda principles for last 4 months

I'm confused
What are the differences between Parkinson's Disease and
Parkinsonism
? How can they identify one from the other and is one less progressive than the other?

In a nightmare
6 WEEKS OF HELL. or is it more. He fell and broke his femur. 1 week in the hospital. They said he is a very high risk patient to operate on, heart issues, Parkinsons etc. Had a bad reaction to the anesthia, they had to restrain him. Very lucky it went away after a day and then rehab where he still is

Numerous drug treatments, but most cause serious side effects
Therefore, novel therapeutic strategies that halt disease progression and allow for long-term administration are urgently needed. Neuroinflammation critically contributes to the pathogenesis of PD. Here, we report the discovery and optimization of phloroglucinol derivatives, a novel class of anti-neuroinflammatory

What I'm doing to stop Parkinson's disease
I'm from Italy and I live in Milano. I'm 66, married, no children. Some months ago, three neurologists gave me the same diagnosis: Parkinson disease. My problem was a difficulty in manual writing. I take rotigotine 4 mg every day. I also take curcumin and a homeopathic product, Gelsemium sempervirens

Parkinson's or Parkinsonism
My third Neuro insisted that my medications could be causing my symptoms and that therefore I may have
Parkinsonism
which causes identical symptoms as PD but are a result of other factors. In my case he believed my symptoms may be caused by overmedication and suggested I stop taking aripiprazole.

Advanced Parkinsons treatment
I have had pd for at at least twenty years. After dx I had been put on Cabaser by a neurologist who then retired and my gp informed me that there were insufficient funds to replace him. He would just keep prescribing this med. and I would just continue without a Neuro. Cabaser turned out to be particularly

23andme Trial - It's free to anyone dxd with Parkinsons. This will help with researching a cure for PD and provide info to you personally
The 23andme clinical trial for Parkinsons just requires you to provide a saliva sample via a kit that they will send you. Send it in and you should get a great DNA report and even a family history / ancestry report (I am waiting on mine). The more people who enroll in this research, the more powerful

About Nilotinib
Yea I know, I am on hiatus, but I am rendering video files which take about 2 hours to make 1 and I was bored (blah, blah, blah....). Threads on Nilotinib has been posted often on this site (dating back 3 years) and I decided to investigate it a bit. When you read this thread you will understand why
