Paracetamol

Well my surgery went well,Only problem was as I expected low oxygen levels after the anesthetic. so glad I opted for Mastectomy-would never have coped with further operations and up to 18 months of treatment if I had opted for reconstruction..Only appts now are with a district nurse to check dressings

I was wondering if anyone else had some experience of this and if they were given any better painkillers other than Paracetamol & Ibuprofen. Anything you could share would be gratefully received. It's heartbreaking watching her in so much pain. Kind regards

Ive had some hours of feeling so drugged that I am scared of passing out and yet other times of course the wired state of the steroids.The headaches are still there intermittently but I manage them with over the counter paracetamol.

To be honest I’m in shock, I’ve hardly taken a paracetamol before so when the GP said I needed to take lifelong medication, I was completely floored and I still am. I am desperately trying to find a way of avoiding it by trying to understand root cause and make any lifestyle changes that I can.

Thankfully ibuprofen,paracetamol and a hot water bottle calmed it down. I felt like a bruised feeling after but it disappeared until last night which was day 8 and the pain was really sharp. I do have endo and I am wondering if that’s flared up with everything.

I'm also taking OTC solpadeine max - codeine/paracetamol (3 or 4 a night) which I know is a really bad idea on top of the other drugs but it is the only thing that helps when the discomfort is really bad (but the effects don't usually last long).

Hello everyone, The Inevitable has happened and I have tested positive for Covid19 for the first time...any tips on how to feel as comfortable as possible apart from taking Paracetamol etc?

So the spray and paracetamol helps. I take paracetamol with caffeine first thing and this helps with lethargy. Hope you find this helpful.

Tried all sorts - hot honey and lemon drinks, spoonfuls of honey, salt water gargling, plenty of fluids, paracetamol but no relief. Cough has become a little more productive at times in last 24 hours. Been on 4mg of Pred for 6 weeks.

I’m taking paracetamol but my throat is so sore I need some medication to sooth it… what can and can’t we have? I have had this for days now and it’s not getting any better today I can hardly swallow :(

Taking paracetamol with little effect and feel rough! My twin has had x3 ablations and never had any post op issues. Any suggestions welcome. Probably need to speak to arrhythmia nurse at UHCW who have always been very helpful with my twin. Thanking you in advance Christine

I am happy to continue with the Bisoprolol but don't want to stay on the anti-coagulant as I have severe back pain and want to be able to take Ibuprofen, as paracetamol don't really help.

had a prolapse , much to my surprise ,she said she could see it , she explained everything and now I’m being referred to the gynaecology dept at the local hospital, hopefully will sort this out as it’s really getting me down and I’ll be 60 this year and this has come abit of a shock , I am taking paracetamol

She also advised not to take ibuprofen painkillers only take paracetamol. I hope there’s a way 🙏. I do not want more issues the older I get I’m only 36.
