Why seretide is the first course of action for asthma...Why not some steroid free treatment to start with?
Hi everyone! I am new to asthmatic life! My issue started with heart palpitations and acidity, got nexium then later I started feeling SOB, initially Dr. Said it's bronchitis and then gerd induced asthma and now asthma. My question is that do I need to stay on seretide course because I cannot differentiate

Covid-19 Pneumonia Recovery
Hi again, I want to thank everyone for their replies on my last post, they were all helpful. Last week I went back to my GP and she again referred me to A&E - I stayed for the night on oxygen and the next morning they told me they believe I had COVID-19 (I believe it was covid pneumonia?) as they could

Is this a spike? How to keep calm during extremly loud long tinnitus spikes?
Could this be a spike?? If you read my other posts, I havent slept without booze for 2 days. Last night 3 white claws wasn't enough so while my tinnitus seemed a but quieter, I still had that really loud catastrophic booming loud speaker noise when I sobered up and I was still anxious about the T cause

Coughing with steroids
I have Eosinophilic Asthma, and cough a phlemy cough a lot of the time. I use two inhalers, Flutiform, and Ciclesonide, two puffs twice a day. Sometimes I find that when I use my inhaler, it makes me have a coughing fit. Am I just coughing up the steroid spray and should I use it again?

Dry irritable cough different from bronchiectasis cough
Hi all, I had another chest infection three weeks ago. Steroids and antibiotics. The last week I have a irritable cough, I feel it is pollen related rather than infection. I started steroids to try and calm things down. But husband is now annoying me by saying something is wrong. Has anyone else been

Problems with pacemaker insertion
Had pacemaker fitted five weeks ago and readmitted later that day as ventricular lead had moved and caused pericardial effusion. So back to theatre and on both occasions found the experience horrendius to say the least. Pneumonia followed and then af (never had it before) but on meds for it and now

Nitrogen‐Containing Bisphosphonates Are Associated With Reduced Risk of Pneumonia in Patients With Hip Fracture.
A recent study found that nitrogen-containing bisphosphonates (N-BPs) such as alendronate, which are widely used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis, are linked with lower risks of pneumonia and of dying from pneumonia. The results are published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research. The study

Tumeric WITH black pepper
Well an interesting week this has been in many ways but last night as I crawled and pushed myself up the stairs I got to bed and suddenly realised that I was not wheezing. WHY- well after 8months of horrendous wheezing, the odd acid reflux, phlegm and coughs (not all the time) and just feeling awful

Endometrial Cancer- 8 months remission-after 4 years trying
Hi friends, As we all worry and deal with covid-19 pandemic, I thought it would be good to share some success I have been having, mostly because I never expected this much success...even though I remain open to the idea that my cancer can recur. I am in remission about 8 months! My doc always said he

Tick√ First job of the day completed.
I have just made some Fire Cider. It's a traditional recipe that's supposed to ward off cold and flu symptoms. I have been planning on doing a trial for ages but kept finding a reason not to. But with time on my hands and most of the most often used ingredients available I decided to give it a try. Just

Vaginal dryness at 22?
I’m 22 years old and I have endometriosis and PCOS on both my ovaries. For the past year nearly, I have been suffering with a constant itch around the entrance to my vagina. It’s only on the right side and it is in that specific area every single time. It seems to be much worst at night or first thing

A new trial to prevent organ failure and death in COVID-19 patients has been launched, led by clinicians and scientists in Cambridge and London. ‘Flu vaccine
I rang my GP to ask if I should get the ‘flu jab - and get a script for it as I do every year - this year because of my recently diagnosed PMF I qualify for free vaccine! Part of me still rebels being labelled as having a ‘chronic illness’ or having ‘reduced immunity’ - part of me says ‘Thanks very much

5 months post pneumonia
Hi everyone, I posted on here a while back when I was ill with severe pneumonia. I was hospitalised for a few days. Drs said they’d never seen a pneumonia showing as severe on a ct scan as they had with me. Anyway, I’m much better now. Tiredness is subsiding. However the past couple of weeks I’ve been

Chronic cough
Can anyone please help me or tell what they do or what helps them with a chronic on going cough that won't go away? I live in Colorado, so the climate here is extremely dry. My pulmonary doctor has prescribed a few different inhalers. But none have helped with my cough. It tends to get much worse at
