what is this exactly. ?
(Surgery was done 5 weeks ago to fit the rod) I am in
palliative
care
right now with Kaiser (they are great) who are considering a drain to see if that reduces the swelling or maybe now a one time only radiation. Again Kaiser are not clear on what to expect.erupt wise.

I had to call the
palliative
care
nurse yesterday to ask what the hell is going on. He said I have been on Ibrance and Anastrozole for so long, now my body has nothing to help it fight. I’ve jsut been lying in bed or on the couch for the last fe days.

First line of treatment
She is also referring me to
palliative
care
because I have lots of pain from the cancer, my left hand and under my armpit. I can't use my left arm and hand. I feel relieved to finally get cancer care. I do have upcoming appointments, one for CT scan since my last one was August 2nd.

High volume, advanced metastatic prostate cancer
The
palliative
care
doctor admitted him to get control of the pain, and I walked down to the
palliative
care
doctor we normally see. She hugged me and told me the reason my dad was in so much pain as these were the types of tumors that ate away the bone and there were a lot of them.

Off Topic Friday: Jessie's Woodland Walk VIII
I have been asked to prepare two things for our
palliative
care
team: A 'with sympathy' card based on Welsh scenery, and a page for a website showing my development (both technical and emotional) as somebody being aided by the team.

Just saying hello as a new member
One with the surgeon to discuss reconnection and another with
palliative
care
just to get that established and in place early. I’m happy to have found this community and will be sure to ask more questions once I have more answers from my medical team.

Answer to unknown question
It means up to that point I can use PSA and other results to agree with doctors my best
palliative
care
to maintain best Quality of Life. That is what I have done for 3 years but without realising the actual question I wanted answered.

QoL: "The berries remain, though the leaves are gone."
I shall discuss it with my
palliative
care
nurse when I see her on Friday, and in the meantime be taking sublingual painkillers (Abstral) to help me cope with it. I see no point in waiting for pain to develop and then trying to play catch-up as it keeps ahead of my painkillers.

CDK12 gene mutation
The oncologist and
palliative
care
nurse prescribed morphine and dilaudid to help reduce the pain. These pain meds are helping although he can still feel pain and gets breakthrough pain. Ct scan, MRI, bone scan all show something in the mandible so a PSMA PET was also done.

Mum with CBD
My mum got diagnosed with CBD in 2017 we were told in January 2020 she had 4 weeks left to live and was moved into a
care
home for
palliative
care
. Thankfully she is still with us. Hasn't eaten and been bed bound now for 4 years. She survives on 6-7 ensures a day.

Hello - I’m struggling
He’s been discharged with NO
palliative
care
or advice on transplants etc. it’s like a losing battle. He’s seen one gastro doctor since his discharge in August and he didn’t give much help to be honest, just said he’d refer him to a specialist in Leeds.
