What's next?
As I've written before, my husband stopped all treatment and is receiving
palliative
care
. Just got the results of his 3-mo. PSA and it's jumped from 40 to 91. Wondering if there's any way to know if/when symptoms will start appearing due to PCa's further or worsening spread?

Palliative care only
All anti-cancer treatment is being withdrawn, leaving me with
palliative
care
only. She thinks I might see some of 2024, but less of it than more. I would like to thank you all for your support over the years, especially during my struggles to express myself through painting.

Palliative care only
My appointment with my oncologist today was not what one might hope, but what I knew was coming. She has done all she can for me (please don't try telling me of alternatives; we discussed them at length and came up blank with each one). So, with all anti-cancer medication removed, I have nothing but

refusing treatment how fast do people decline?
He’s refusing to enable power-of-attorney medical or legal. he is refusing to engage in
palliative
care
to outline what he doesn’t want to happen, he’s just in denial . My question is not what other support can we do.

Overcoming Pneumonia Susceptibility
It's funny I was telling a nurse in one of these preliminary telemedicine deals with a
palliative
care
doctor.............. that I always try to beat my fast walk time on the skybridge and she wanted to race with me next time I come in. Ok veterans, time to offer your insights.

Just saying hello as a new member
One with the surgeon to discuss reconnection and another with
palliative
care
just to get that established and in place early. I’m happy to have found this community and will be sure to ask more questions once I have more answers from my medical team.

Hi, I am absolutely useless with technology…… I wrote a lengthy update about myself, this drug, other drugs, hospital stay, decline of lung transplant at Harefield, referral to
palliative
care
, oxygen - sorry goes on and on, just wanted to share the year’s overall experience.

My 80 year-old dad with MPCa, broke his leg and now seems to be giving up. Advice on best anti-anxiety meds desperately needed.
They are involving
palliative
care
ASAP. I will now be travelling back to UK again. I just arrived back in US on June 16th, and am determined to try to get my dad’s mind in a better place. He is having problems swallowing all the meds, fluids, food.

Update finally on treatment
And I am on
palliative
care
for pain management since I have neuropathy in my left arm and hand. I can't use the hand much at all. I have body aches like crazy on the letrozole but no side effects from Ibrance. At least I am doing better in terms of crying, not as often anymore.

RIP Debbie
In last 6 months, having the support of our local hospice
palliative
care
nurses made a huge positive difference. Debbie was only sick in bed for 2 days, although her initial symptoms probably started 7 to 8 years ago.

High volume, advanced metastatic prostate cancer
The
palliative
care
doctor admitted him to get control of the pain, and I walked down to the
palliative
care
doctor we normally see. She hugged me and told me the reason my dad was in so much pain as these were the types of tumors that ate away the bone and there were a lot of them.

We are meeting with my dad’s
palliative
care
doctor on Monday to review pain management and I am going to ask for some short-dose morphine pills for home if the oxycodone fails to work at a given time. Keep my dad out of the hospital.

Meeting with our oncologist for castrate resistance metastatic prostate cancer
I spoke with my dad's
palliative
care
dr about controlling the pain more. He currently uses Oxy every 4 hours (10 mg) with the ability to take another one at the halfway point. Some days it is no problem, some days the pain builds and doesn't seem to control it and he is out of sorts.

Palliative care survey for less survivable cancer patients & loved ones (UK)
The survey aims to provide insights so they can lobby for improvements to
palliative
care
services, and to highlight any good practice. People have varied experiences of
palliative
care
and this survey aims to provide statistical and anecdotal evidence so they can identify areas of improvement.

Answer to unknown question
It means up to that point I can use PSA and other results to agree with doctors my best
palliative
care
to maintain best Quality of Life. That is what I have done for 3 years but without realising the actual question I wanted answered.
