I’ve had the hospice nurse around this week and les is now under the palliative care team , she’s prescribed Butron Parches for les along with morphine tablets for under the tongue and then injection vials , I’ve no idea why the vials as obviously it’s not for me to administer, I worry that they can see more with les than they are telling or am I just being paranoid?

Hi, I always found the palliative nurses to be very open and honest, though we did ask them to be. Speak with them about your concerns. They said to call them with any concerns, no worry was too small.
With regards to the vials, they would either come themselves or send a district nurse to administer if and when needed.
Hi TC been under palliative team for well over a year. Been on morphine patch for over 6 months. I think the vials you're speaking about might be "just in case meds" These arrived once we finalised his DNR . Our hospice nurse has been fantastic - so helpful, so please do check it out with them. TC now has a driver in place - to give continuous dose of hyoscine for secretions, but everything has been done with full consultation. Hope this helps - please feel free to ask anything else. Take care.
