An update
I have progressed so far in accepting my situation, that I have undertaken a
pain
clinic peer support program to hopefully, enable me to help others coping with severe chronic
pain
. To find a way forward in their lives.

PMR pain or Adrenal issue
Hello, I have not had PMR
pain
in over a year. I do have GCA too. I just reduced my prednisone by a half mg a few days ago. My hips and knees are bothering me today. Could this be due my reduction of prednisone and my Adrenals stating to work?

Help appreciated please..symptoms not easing
I started to get a lot of neck stiffness, very bad shoulder stiffness and
pain
, spinal
pain
and bilateral hip
pain
. As I already have spinal osteoporosis I wondered whether this was all connected. GP at a loss, bloods etc not revealing much except for some discrepancies in white cell count.

ibuptofen?
Prior to learning I had aortic valve stenosis earlier this year I always regarded ibuprofen as a superior
pain
killer to paracetamol. Might have something to do with a childhood in Nottingham where it was developed by Boots!

Update - Not Polymyalgia?
Update - First had Polymyalgia 2018 tapered off successfully 2020 CRP10 ESR 26. Diagnosed again July 2023 CRP4 ESR 26. Symptoms completely different (all neck, shoulders, arms) Put back on 20mg steroids. I wasn’t convinced on 2nd diagnosis so GP agreed I should taper off. Began taper, had blood tests
