tight muscles
anyone suffer from tight abdominal, rectum, buttock and inner thigh / hamstring muscles? I have previously managed these on the assumption that it is pelvic floor dysfunction. Whilst the relevant exercises seemed to hold the pain and discomfort at bay for a while and enable bowel movements to relieve

My rheumy wants me off of prednisone as soon as possible
First of all, thanks to everyone who replied me, and gave me valuable advice on my previous post. This is an update. Previously, I mentioned that I wasn't happy with my first rheumy appointment as she thinks I don’t need steroids because my inflammation markers are in a normal range and this is not a

Eye infection & cold - Sick Day Rules?
I have a nasty eye infection and the doctor has given me antibiotic eye drops and pills, which I have been on for a few days now but they haven’t worked yet. I also have a streaming cold. I was on 4 mg of Pred but following SDR I have been on 10 mg for a few days now. But I am just wondering, if I do

My Knees
So….. I have been unable to walk let alone run since I developed knee pain almost 2 weeks ago after completing week 1. I am now at the point where I can reduce the painkillers although the pain is still there I can tolerate it and ‘hobble’ around. I am unsure if I should try the C25K again in a week

Pregnancy
Hi, I have pigment dispersion syndrome with a small amount damage to my right optic nerve but no change on visual fields on either eye. My pressures are relatively well controlled on latanoprost and dorzolamide. I am planning on trying to get pregnant next year and wondered how others managed their eyes

A little late
I haven't been able to draw or paint for months -- just no inspiration, and a lack of faith in my own abilities. This week I bought a blending stump (eh?) and produced the attached, which I call Nature Red in Tooth and Paw. Sorry it's late for Off Topic Friday. On the Care Community side of things,

Eyes water during field test
Hi. I'm new here and joined on behalf of my elderly father. He has had glaucoma for a few years and every time he is called for an eye test he goes to pieces. His eyesight is fine - he can airplane spot and has no issues with any aspect of reading or distances. His only issue is doing the field test

nagging Headaches plus UTI
hi all Been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, doctor thinks is because of a shock (my husband was in hospital for 7 months and lost both his legs). My question is. Does anyone else have a slight nagging headache. Nothing that is a major pain, just a nagging headache which pain killers cannot move Also

High Eye Pressure After Eylea Injection
I had my 5th Eylea injection yesterday, for Diabetic Retinopathy. I always feel pain with the injections, sometimes stinging, but worse when it is a feeling of heavy pressure. Yesterday I lost my vision in my left eye immediately after the injection. My Ophthalmologist explain it was a reaction

Gift idea
I cannot recommend this enough! I consider it part of my durable medical equipment. 🤣 I bought one more than a year ago, "just in case", and it has been a lifesaver. For those of you who don't have easy access to a second car to jump your dead battery or a gas station on every corner to put air

I have had eylea injections for Macular in the right eye for wet for 6 years. It continues to be "still active". The left eye is the dry Macular and is not treated at all yet. . But, just last week after a consultation I was informed that this left eye has a cataract and can be operated on to resolve

progesterone pill - pain and bleeding
Hi I’ve been aware I’ve had endo since 2016 when I was 35 and starting to try for a baby. My left ovary had a large cyst on it that had to be surgically removed. Other than that I was told I had mild endo at that point. It the took me a further three years to conceive (two failed ivf’s) and I naturally

Pernicious anaemia?
I am a 60 year old male leading a healthy, low stress lifestyle. I have never had any medical conditions (apart from a bout of pancreatitis a couple of years ago) and never been on any medications apart from the occasional pain killer or dose of antibiotics. I exercise and meditate daily. I don't drink
