return to running?
Has anyone on here suffered from chronic PID and been able to return to running? I had sudden onset PID in April and had a laparoscopy. After numerous scans and all the usual tests, I’m of the opinion that my copper IUD coil caused the disorder, it was not probably not fit for use beyond 5 years (i

I had a Laminectomy due to Severe Spinal Stenosis which initially provided 4 months of relief. It then failed and deteriorated again. After that I’ve also had open heart surgery with a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair. After collapsing last year I’ve now been diagnosed with Heart Failure. Unfortunately

A couple of GCA questions
Hello! A couple of GCA question: Has anyone with GCA, and reducing Pred, experienced double vision again without a sore jaw and scalp? And was this confirmed as a flare-up? I have both PMR and GCA and recently began to experience flu-like symptoms and stiffness of PMR. I had a blood test and

Can Blindness be caused by using Aldara (Imiquimod) with GCA?
My dermatologist is once again pushing Aldara (in the US, it's called Imiquimod) to help control my pre-cancerous skin "spots" (Actinic Keratosis) on my head. I have GCA, and I'm concerned because this med induces your immune system to go into overdrive against the spots, killing them, which leads to

Swelling and bruising.
Fell down the stairs but apart from a few minor bruises only ended up with badly swollen and black and blue toes and foot. Not a lot of pain. Lucky! My question arises from the fact that the swelling and bruising is disappearing much quicker than I would expect, having only treated it with painkillers

Any Advice for Dealing with Pain?
My doctor suspects that I'm suffering from endo and has referred me to gynae and for an ultrasound. The waiting list for Gynae is 1 year and I've been put on the pill in the meantime. The pain is really bad and is relentless. Painkillers don't really do very much but. A hot water bottle does ease

Clear glasses for dry eyes
I have exceptionally dry eyes caused by long term use of Cosopt and Monopost for glaucoma. I also use prescribed Carmellose sodium eye drops 1% eight times daily and HyLo night ointment. I have had three corneal ulcers and one onset of marginal keratitis in the last 19 months. (I am attending hospital

Late period after laparoscopy
I had my laparoscopy two weeks ago, they found endo and a load of adhesions so performed diathermy. My period is now 4 days late. I did a pregnancy test at the hospital before the op. Did anyone else experience a late period after surgery? They told me the first period after the surgery would be bad
