Gift idea

I cannot recommend this enough! I consider it part of my durable medical equipment. 🤣 I bought one more than a year ago, "just in case", and it has been a lifesaver. For those of you who don't have easy access to a second car to jump your dead battery or a gas station on every corner to put air in your tires, this thing will help you wherever you are.

I had one before that only did car batteries, but this new version has a very fast air compressor, a light, and even 3 USB ports. I charged it the day I got it, then the neighbor had it hooked to his riding mower battery for 2 hours last spring before realizing his battery was totally dead. Unfortunately, this is not a miracle worker. I spent all of a minute today putting air in 2 of my mother's tires and it's still 2/3 fully charged from more than a year ago. I should also add that it has a built-in, easy-to-read gauge so that you don't have to check your tires beforehand and can shut it off when it reaches the right pressure.

It weighs a little over 10 pounds, which is the high end of what I can carry these days, but it's incredibly easy to use. Whether you travel a lot or just live alone, you need one of these! For passenger cars or smaller, you only need the 800 amp version that runs around $40. Pickups or bigger vehicles will need a larger size that costs around $100.

It sounds great but both of my cars are very difficult to jump start so I just call AAA. I have a couple of air compressors which I have to use once in a while, like tomorrow.

Your right ! these tools are great to have. they have jump starters that are much smaller and yes, just as powerful. They weigh about 1/2 a pound and despite their appearance they do work very well. They are available in sizes up to and over 800 amp. If you get one, get a good one. Maybe read reviews.

They are handy 👍🏼 I have a smaller one that just does battery 🪫 and I have it in either car as I travel 🤞🏼. I also have a Ryobi battery air compressor that I use. At home I have a big compressor and battery charger 🔌 for full charging. My Audi has a built in compressor in the trunk for inflating tires 🛞, really cool idea. They are a lifesaver when you’re out and about 👍🏼😉

since Hubby’s car accident in August, we are down to one car and I can’t drive it because it has starter problems. We’re driving from where we live to San Francisco tomorrow morning. Approx 90+ miles. Leaving our house by 3:30 AM to be ahead of all of the commute traffic and get there find a Starbucks and get into my doctors office by 8 AM so I can get into the bathroom doing my hair, maybe a little make up. I have two appointments first is with a psychiatrist for 2 hours, 1/2hr break then appt with Nuero. We should be out of city by 1:00 pm. The only Blessing is that when we go into city is it’s still dark & we get to see all the lights, & CHRISTmas 🎄 lights!!

we helped a lady start her car using jumper cables. Your post reminded me of that. She couldn’t afford new battery and carried her own cables. I also suggested she get a AAA membership. Worth every penny! We have been members almost 50 years! I’m also retired from AAA so my membership is free @ his is not that much. We had flat tire on freeway about a year ago & had to have vehicle put onto flatbed & driven about 50+ miles in our own town, no charge to us because we have the “Plus” membership. I sound like a salesman but I Just highly recommend them.

Will they jump start ME when I fatigue out?

Mark I can never see you needing a jump start. You're like the Energizer Bunny. Fancy59.

A body in motion, tends to stay in motion. However, if I EVER stop, for more than a minute, then it's a body at rest, well, it's definitely going to stay at rest. So, I try not to stop, BUT, come our retired old folks dinner time at 4PM, well shortly thereafter, the show's over for the day. If I'd have to do something thereafter, well ever hear of the walking dead?

sounds great. We got down here ok & he is sleeping in a chair. I just finished the first appointment & am waiting for next with Neurologist. When we checked in they said they had changed appointments to the 20th. They fit us in so we don’t have to do this all over again soon. They compare some of the traffic to LA’s
