Pacemaker tomorrow! Advice Please.
I’m having a
pacemaker
fitted here in Portugal tomorrow. I fainted while cycling and while on treadmill test. I’ve had 24hr ecg and echo and have been told I have AV block.

Finally took the plunge and started a self-trial of Levothryoxine (after 12 months procrastination)
I can't understand the "do no harm" mantra of our doctors in cases like this, because I've been subjected to so many invasive tests and threatened with a
pacemaker
, perhaps in time they will prove to be unnecessary. I'm well read, informed, careful and considerate when it comes to my health care.

Another diagnosis plan
Heart and BP can be sorted with meds, and maybe
pacemaker
later down the road. Utterly exhausted, and as much as I can lay down/fall down every 20 minutes I could do with a bludy good restful holiday after all this 😀 (with maybe a wine or two?!?)

Pacemaker upper rate control
I always was led to believe that my
pacemaker
would control my rate to it’s upper level of 120. I have now been informed that the
pacemaker
only stops the heart rate going lower than 60. My pulse is still high for me, high 80’s when before I stopped the beta blockers it stayed at 60 .

Anyone have Cardiac Sarcoidosis?
I have a
pacemaker
, two ablations and 5 or six cardioversions under my belt. I also have a lot of undiagnosed symptoms that, according to my research, are explained by Cardiac Sarcoidosis that I am able to control myself with Prednisone, Nitroglycerin and Lyrica.

18-month update - my linear weight-loss and maintenance.
It might be a coincidence that it was when they inserted an additional atrial lead and a replacement
pacemaker
. I now walk 30 to 45 km per week. If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

AF/tachycardia is the chaotic irregular beat or the extreme fast beats the main problem?
I also have a 3 lead
pacemaker
which has stopped the long sinus pauses and bradycardia. The HF has been caused by the AF as well as the leaky valve according to my Consultants at Barts London who I have been with for many years.

New Diagnosis of Cardiac Sarcoidosis
In the meantime I have had to have a
pacemaker
and ICD fitted to solve the arrhythmia symptoms. Does anyone else out there have Cardiac Sarcoidosis and any experiences to share?

Chronic subdural haematoma
He got a
pacemaker
, got home and all was well. He then developed a right sided weakness and over the next week became more confused and lost the ability to speak. He then had seizures and was rescanned. The haematomas were 23 and 27mm.

AFIB and GOUT
You will have to see a consultant and may have to have a
pacemaker
. Apparently there is a strong correlation between gout and AFIB, with further strong links to inflammation. He only went in with a swollen foot. As he said "There must be a special offer on this week"

Better from Pneumonia, but exhausted
It’s to see if I need
Pacemaker
, but even if I don’t need one, which I doubt I do! They will put this gadget in my heart to monitor me! It’s like getting a cardiac catherization ! Nothing too invasive, but I’m not happy about it! My husband in Nursing home and I find it very lonely without him!

Very helpful GP
I had an appointment this morning, after not being able to get one for months, with the GP who referred me for a second opinion about why I was still breathless and fatigued over a year after having a
pacemaker
.

Can A vibrating foot plate or magnetic shoe inserts be used with a pacemaker
Will using either of these affect a
pacemaker
or are the feet far enough away for it not to affect it?

Breathlessness and arrhythmias
Doc has recommended
pacemaker
with drugs. Off late I have been very breathless on the slightest exertion. Cant climb a flight of stairs without sitting down. Breathless when I lie down too. Chest pain is a constant reminder that something is off. Ectopics are persistent too.
