Hello all.

I have recently had a CRT pacemaker fitted. A few days later I commenced taking a low dose of Bisoprolol. Now it may be related to the actual pacemaker procedure but I have felt slightly worse and reading the known side effects of Bisoprolol it seems that my symptoms i.e. light-headedness and mild nausea could be a result of the medication. I have mentioned this at my follow up with the HF nurse. The thing is replacing the Bisoprolol with Digoxin has been mentioned. I have concerns about this as my Mum was put on Digoxin many years ago and unfortunately had a whole gambit of side effects. Maybe this has coloured my thinking but I thought tat there must be a less complicated medication around these days as my thinking is that Digoxin is a very old medication. The other thing is that I thought that Digoxin was usually prescribed were angina type pain was present. I have not experienced angina pain and my diagnosis is non ischemic cardiomyopathy. Any thoughts folks.

Many thanks
