Will using either of these affect a pacemaker or are the feet far enough away for it not to affect it?

Not as far as I’m aware, but if you’re using them for weight loss/instead of exercise and healthy eating you’re wasting your money. For heart health there aren’t any short cuts unfortunately and neither of those will have any impact on cardiovascular health.

Have you been offered cardiac rehab?

Hi, This is to improve circulation to the legs rather than an issue with the heart. The hospital said the electric pulsing will affect the pacemaker but I'm sure I read somewhere that is it's far enough away it would be ok

What do the hospital suggest you do to improve the circulation to your legs?

The artery bypass has failed so they’ve said there’s not much else they can do. They mentioned the vibrio/pulse plate but then thought it wasn’t an option with the pacemaker. Just trying to find any way to aid the circulation and expansion of smaller vessels to supply the muscles

My podiatrist is generally against these type of devices where circulation is impaired or there is nerve damage as undetected injury may occur. Reduced circulation can cause nerve damage to creep up as there may be a lack of nutrients. Overall walking is the best form of exercise. A mini exercise bike can also be useful. These are basically a set of pedals with variable resistance you can use in an armchair.

That sounds a good idea. Thanks

I’d suggest calling the PM manufacturer. Their telephone number is usually on the PM card you were issued.

Some adverts say that a vibrating footplate should NOT be used with a pacemaker though it is in very small print. Others don’t mention it but it must be the same advice. Better to be safe than sorry! Hope this helps.
