I've had an arrhythmia diagnosed since 2 years .. 2 EP studies but no ablation. The jury is still out.. IST, Sinus Node Reentry or Abnormal automaticity. Cant tolerate even the smallest dose of beta blockers as they cause my hr to plummet. Calcium channel blockers lead to prolonged QTc. Doc has recommended pacemaker with drugs.
Off late I have been very breathless on the slightest exertion. Cant climb a flight of stairs without sitting down. Breathless when I lie down too. Chest pain is a constant reminder that something is off. Ectopics are persistent too.
Has anyone had this breathless even when not in a tachy episode? Anyone had a pacer for it? Did it help?

That sounds miserable. And maybe sounds like the Dr needs to do a halter again... I'm no expert but from what I've read, either your heart rate is too low to sustain your level of activity when you climb the stairs, or you actually are tachy and so it's still your existing problem, or you are suffering low blood volume and not getting enough blood pumping to your head due to some sort of dysautonomia. Whatever the case, I feel as though your dr probably needs to know, as if you are not tachy during, that would be a complete change in what you previously had going on with the possible IST, SNRT, etc. Keep us posted and I hope it gets better!
