Good question, I'd be interested to see if anyone can provide the answer.

There are a few issues with rig working, one being the possibility of powerful electromagnetic fields which could inhibit the pacemaker.

And there's the issue of the distance of medical assistance if someone needs attention - I know they have some medical provision, but it's not likely to be cardio

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that ICDs are a No as wearers condition may involve syncope (temporary loss of consciousness)

Hi

Unless the UK Offshore Operators have changed the rules I don't think you can be offshore with a Pacemaker. That's making the assumption that you are going to be working in the UK.

Yes working in UK, I’ve been told platform needs to do risk assessment for electromagnetic tests ?
