Hello and welcome to the forum - being an 'oldie' I will restrict my input to giving you the attached link which sounds as though it could be something that interests you. myheart.org.uk/
Hope you find the support you want as your coping with a lot at a young age but you will 'get there'
The BHF has something for your age group too:
Good evening, I had my first pacemaker fitted when I was 18 in 1985 and now at 52, I am on pacemaker number4. I have now developed other heart problems, but for many years I carried on a normal kind of life, played football ( with a chest protector) was a morris dancer and ran half marathons. 35 years later, I am still married to the girl I met at 18 have 2 children that are now adults and a pacemaker never really slowed me down. I never knew anybody of my age, that had a pacemaker at the time, so do not worry too much. Unfortunately my pace of life has changed a bit, as I was diagnosed with Heart failure last year, so I cant do what I used to do and things have changed quite a bit for me in the last year. My advise is too enjoy your life, do not worry about it, listen to what your doctors tell you and if I can be of help with any answers to your questions, feel free to ask away.. Good Luck.
