New Pacemaker....pacing issues
Just had my first appointment with the
pacemaker
technician. She tells me that the top of my heart (she mentioned atrium I think) is pacing at 100%, whereas the bottom of my heart is pacing at 55%. Does anyone know what this means? She adjusted it down from base rate 60 to 55.

Afib or PACS
My afib/flutter has been well controlled in recent months with Tikosyn and propranolol and my year old
pacemaker
but the past few evenings following dinner I have had episodes of very brief tachycardia. I wear an apple watch so have quickly checked and can see jump to 120 and last night 150.

Painful, cold knees and legs...
I've a history of Afib, sick sinus syndrome and had a
pacemaker
in May 2020. I could only get a telephone consultation with my GP but he's thinking intermittent claudication and has referred me to a vascular surgeon for testing. Any one with similar experiences/opinions....

Magnesium Citrate relieves irregular heart beats.
I was told it was not serious but a
pacemaker
was fitted as a precaution even though beats per minute are 75 to 85. No sign of atrial fibrillation. It's now a year since the missed heartbeats were first noticed.

Can I take Cocodamol with pred?
Part of that problem is that I have a
pacemaker
and need a radiologist there to make any adjustment needed. I see my rheumy for the second time on the 27th.

Pericarditis and pericardial effusion
Mine happened after I’d had a
pacemaker
fitted and a lead put a hole in the heart. I’ve had such a traumatic experience over the last three weeks.

Worried about heart rate
It’s 1.30 am....should I call the

help site tomorrow, or has my

done it’s job?

Happy May Day, May Day, May Day! It's the May Quest!
He makes a fine
pacemaker
. Speaking of which, this should be the last month when we don’t have an event to go to 🤞. As I’m typing, parkrun are tweeting their lists of events that have had the 👍 from their landowners with a view to restarting on 5th June.

Advice please
I received an email from my cardiologist who thinks maybe I should have a
pacemaker
. Obviously I can’t be in Afib so am on the waiting list for another toe cardioversion first. My question to members is what are the pros and cons of a
pacemaker
and those who have it was it a good idea.
