Worried about heart rate

I had a pacemaker fitted 3 weeks ago. All was fine until half an hour ago....I felt strange and checked my heart rate in the oximeter.....it was over 120, and flashed an emergency. I took deep breaths for about 5 mins and feel ok now . My heart rate is back in the 60s. I had had a shock.....my partner has just been taken in an ambulance with a heart attack suspected that happened 48 hours ago. Is that enough to cause this? I’m worried about my husband, but should I be worried about myself? It’s 1.30 am....should I call the pacemaker help site tomorrow, or has my pacemaker done it’s job?

I would call. Might be a natural reaction to such an event (1 hope he's OK?), but it’s much safer to check.

Depends on your type of pacemaker but mine only controls slow heart rate so doesn't help when it occasionally goes to high. It's likely stress had caused your problem but best to check if you are worried.I hope your husband is doing ok.
