Pacemaker battery change has finally come
I've had my dual chamber pacer maker since 2014 and now 10 year down the line it's to be changed as the battery is low. For the last 18 month I've been told it's fine we will see you in 3 months up untill the 7th of June this year when I went to get my 3 month check they couldn't interigate the box,

Orgovyx and its side effects on the heart's electrical system
I will need a
pacemaker
. I know a side effect of Orgovyx is Long QT Syndrome, which, like bradycardia, affects the heart's electrical system. I wonder if bradycardia needs to be added to the list of Orgovyx's serious side effects. --Boon

Contemplating ablate and pace
If AF was/is still there, how did the
pacemaker
override the chaotic signals coming through the AV node to the ventricles, without an AV node ablation? Did the biventricular
pacemaker
somehow influence the atria to calm down and not fibrillate? I have re-read the posts, but am still at sea.

I have Mobitz Type 2 - should my children be checked for same?
Hi - I was diagnosed with Mobitz Type 2 heart block in the summer and had
pacemaker
fitted. I have since found out that my father's cousin also has a
pacemaker
. Another of his cousins died suddenly age 19. My father is currently undergoing tests for similar symptoms.

Fluctuating BP
Hi , I have a
pacemaker
due to heart block and non compaction. I take among other things bisoprolol and candesartan. Lately my blood pressure fluctuates between 103/68 and 146/102 , I’m getting headaches quite often and get a bit light headed at times.

Does a pacemaker stop afib episodes?
EP had already informed my daughter via telephone that
pacemaker
is the next option to deal with my afib. Have consult with the EP next week to discuss
pacemaker
issue. My question is: Will a
pacemaker
stop AFib episodes?

Entresto medication.
I have a
pacemaker
and reduced Left ventricule ejection fraction of 35%. I have been taking Entresto 24/26mg twice a day for approx 5 weeks now. I am feeling better after being on them but was wondering if anyone else that takes Entresto have had any side effects and if so what are they. ?

Pacemaker and Reiki with Crystal Healig
Now I have a
pacemaker
about 4 weeks, and wonder what the effect of crystals might be? Starting to research, and Judy Hall's Crystal Bible 2, advises that Zircon may cause dizzyness in those with pacemakers (or who are epileptic). My Reiki healer has voiced caution, and is researching also.

Third time lucky?
I graduated for the 2nd time in August 2023 but for various health reasons (including a
Pacemaker
fitted in December of that year) I've lapsed. I walk a lot, 2 active dogs see to that, and usually achieve 1 or 2 active 10s a day.

beta blockade
Hi all, For context, I am a busy 53 year old teacher with
pacemaker
corrected bradycardia (heart block). I have well controlled blood pressure but take 3 different tablets to make it optimal. Here’s the juice: I am often dizzy and find walking sometimes difficult (weak and clumsy).

Triggers
The reason I ask is that I had a mug fall just before bed and spent the night and following morning in A/F and as I have a
pacemaker
and take heart meds this was unusual for me. I did read a post about this happening to another hence my enquiry........or did I dream it!!!

AV node ablation after pacemaker implantation
Is it normal to be short of breath after 2 months of AV node ablation and
pacemaker
implantation? Any comment would be much appreciated, thanks.

Something new…..
At my annual
pacemaker
check recently there was no trace of AF and the
pacemaker
itself was functioning at less that 1% of the time which is the lowest ever. However there were a number of episodes of “a more structured arrhythmia” on six days spread between February, March and April.
