Pain residing after egg collection
Hi all, I had my first ever egg collection on Monday, they got 9 eggs, 7 of which have fertilised via ICSI. Got our fingers crossed that we should have some 5 day blastocysts for transfer this Saturday 🤞I wanted to check others experiences of recovery post egg collection. I vomited and had a lot of

Egg collection complete and transfer advice please
Today was a day I’d never thought I’d get to assuming that I had dusty empty ovaries! We managed to get 6 eggs from 10 follicles, and now the wait begins. I had been super chilled during the injection process and the thought of egg collection didn’t really make me nervous… until my partner woke up

Covid positive
I am undergoing ADT(Lupron, Zytiga & Prednisone) treatment for stage 4 Prostate cancer. I tested positive for Covid today so want to get guidance from this group if I need to be careful with anything in particular.

First run post Covid and I thought I’d head off to the running club and join in with a Week4, Run 1 couch to 5K run. Not the time to be pushing myself. It was a little warm, but it was so slow it didn’t matter 😊 And it felt good to be running again. I’ve lost a little fitness but not too much. Fortunately

Covid and thyroid hormones
I got Covid for the first time 2 weeks ago, still testing positive although the line is very faint, but still there. I didn’t really need the test to tell me that as I’m still feeling utterly crap. My thyroid problems have been ongoing for around 4 years now (no formal diagnosis) and I’ve also had low

No vaccine this year
Hi Hope everyone is well. The covid vaccines for this autumn is recommended for over 65s. I have had the 4 jabs but this autumn there is to be no jab. I take a preventer(morning and evening), but not on any steroid tablets etc. My understanding is if your under 65(I am 51), and not on steroid tablets

So much confusion so much pain
I tell you I struggle every day. I look at pics of my wife from this time last year, 2 years ago 3 years ago. My wife was never a drinker. We had a glass of wine at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every now and then, maybe once or twice a year. She would have a drink at our friends. When we moved

Just started NHS referral process for IVF / ICSI and looking for some advice
My partner (32M) and I (32F) have been trying for a year with no luck. He has been diagnosed with low morphology (1.5-3% over 3 tests). He has a very high count and normal progressive motility and my tests all came back fine, except for a small fibroid which the clinic said wasn’t an issue because of

Not impressed
Decided to go through my medical notes such as they are, and blood tests again now I'm more sensible again. All hospital consultations are missed off and consequently diagnoses. Oh, and there is a gp consultation noted that never took place. Basically my notes appear to be a mess. What really

Long Covid and vagus nerve inflammation - symptoms etc.
Hi everyone, It's a lovely sunny day here in Leeds and I've just had a 14 hour sleep. I hope you are all OK. Having had Covid whilst in hospital I'm interested in Long Covid and how its symptoms mirror those of Enc. Plus any findings on vax side effects. Some of you may share my curiosity so here is

Amitriptyline
Hi all, I've had ibs -c for many years. Last year I was in so much pain in my hips my doc sent me for an xray it turned out to be an impingement. My doc gave me amitriptyline as a painkiller. Oh my word they worked wonders. I was regular as clockwork no bloating. I had been on a diet with no weight loss

Upon losing my father , some retrospect. Take what you need and leave the rest.
Tysm for all. Unfortunately my dad's death was long and horrifying bc he couldn't breathe . He died of leukemia to my knowledge, not prostate cancer and please dont jump on me for saying so bc I am vaxxed and I'm not an anti vaxxer, but I have no doubt that that the vaccines sped up his demise as he got

Covid or chest infection?
I started with covid at the weekend. The last few days I've had a chesty cough, and today it's producing thick yellow mucus. My peak flow is low, I have on and off tightness, especially after coughing & SoB. Before covid, my asthma hadn't be that controlled, but I hadn't got so far as seeing the GP.

Seeking a good travel insurance company for rheumatoid arthritis
Just wondered if anyone has any advise on travel companies they have used that covers rheumatoid arthritis. Also I noticed that for Corona virus cover you have to be up to date with COVID vaccines and unfortunately I missed the spring booster so any advise for cover would be gratefully received. Many

Eligibility for autumn 2023 COVID-19 booster jabs
We have updated our page on COVID-19 vaccinations to include information about who will be eligible for the autumn 2023 boosters. This will be a wider group than those who were eligible for the spring boosters. Read more here: https://www.lupusuk.org.uk/covid19-vaccination/

Advice for Ongoing Condition?
Have been on the forum for a while, and has been a great help but asking for advice. About 2 years ago I had problems walking, was constantly tired and generally felt absolutely awful. I was forgetting names, and even falling off my bike when riding. Couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. Painful peripheral
