Holiday insurance.
Hi lovely warriors. I'm planning a super holiday to Jamaica or Cuba this year in July. I guess insurance will be tricky. I'm in complete remission as from last chemo which was 24th January. I'm Still having avastin till about October time. Does anyone know anything about insurance. Does it make

Avastin answers
After nearly a year of throat problems and 3 ENT consultants today I feel I got answers. The senior ENT consultant I saw explained what was going on in my throat and explained why it could be Avastin. Apparently we all have various sinus cavities producing lots of fluid every day. Mine are so congested

Rising CA125 with Avastin
I was diagnosed with stage 4 OC in Feb 16. I completed 26 cycles of carbo/taxol along with debulking surgery. I just completed my 8th Avastin but CA125 counts are rising each time. Now up to 61. My last scan showed NED which is great but the rising counts make me feel that something is lurking. Has

BRVO and macular edema. Has anyone's cleared up?
I have BRVO and macular edema. I have a light grey "cloud" shaped like a "v" in the upper middle of my vision, starting right at the center of the amsler grid. After my first Avastin shot, the cloud became lighter, and dissipated slightly. My retinal specialist said he noticed some of the blood had been

BRCA1/2 test.
I received a letter from the hospital yesterday asking me to go along for a blood test to determine whether I have that faulty BRCA gene. What if I test positive? What will that mean for me regarding treatment etc? I'm currently NED and just on avastin now. Will this test change anything? Thank

Disheartened re treatment plan...2nd bout of chemo post-surgery
Ladies, I saw the Oncologist yesterday, following my debulking surgery 9 Jan, to discuss next steps & restart my second cycle of chemo. She was very good, & answered all our questions frankly. I think I'm actually incredibly lucky, I do know that, the surgeon felt confident he'd got all the visible

First chemo today post-surgery
En-route to London as I write for my first chemo session post-surgery. Seems too soon in some ways as this is the first time I've left the house since being discharged from the hospital. I've not even been out of bed much before 10/11am so the 6am alarm call was a bit of a shock! Meeting with Oncologist

Scan results
I've had the big op, six cycles of Carbo and Taxol, and am on Avastin. I say my onc today to get scan results. I expected to be told either 1) NED or 2) it has spread all over, go away and don't bother us any more. However, it managed to be between these poles. She is 'happy' with my scan, and can't

Ibrance, Femara , Avastin
I wonder if anyone is on this combo. What are the side effects of Ibrance? What do you do about the low WBCs? Any idea how I can detect lung blood clots, especially that I have lung mets? I am scared that the side effects are going to kill me rather than the disease itself. Pleas help me out.

Slight rise
I know I am being silly but this worry is really spoiling a very exciting time for me. I've just moved into a lovely house with my partner and I can only see doom and gloom. After last chemo yesterday CA125 was 15. It did rise to 17 but the returned to 15 where is has been for some time. Last week
