Avastin.
Had my avastin today. Nearly didn't have it as I had protein in my urine (again) but they went ahead with it. Saw the doctor and he was saying if I get 6 months in complete remission , I'm currently 2 then it's better for me as will mean I'm platinum sensitive. If not I'm platinum resistant. Also he

Two ailments?!
I've been waking up (well, not sleeping really) with really painful shoulders, arms, neck and hips. No pain killers were helping so I went to see my GP today. She wants me to have a blood test to see if I have Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR), although she suggested that it may be a side effect of Avastin

Hi ladies, I'm sure I am like many others out there who read the posts but don't post at all or only occasionally. I find this site very helpful and a great source of support. I'm about to start down the road of caylx next Wednesday. I already have had carbo/taxol twice. Finished last 8 rounds Dec.had

It's back
Hi Everyone, I went yesterday to my 6 month post chemo check-up and found out what I pretty much already knew that the ovarian cancer is back. I could feel that something was different, so I wasn't surprised until I heard one of the spots in my lower left abdomen was 5 by 5 cm. I do feel scared but I

Picc line
I had Avastin on Tuesday. The nurse had trouble finding a vein, and managed on the third try. I have 9 more doses to go, and I am worried that they will want to put in a picc line. I know some people are happy with them, but it seems revolting to me. Can anyone tell me what it is actually like?

Weekly Taxol with Avastin
Good morning ladies. I have just had my second of weekly Taxol treatments for a first recurrence ( unfortunately after 3 months so platinum resistant) . Dr is looking at combining with Avastin is we can get any shrinkage in the tumours around my bowel. Two questions 1. Anyone else had weekly Taxol

Scan results
Today I am getting anxious as I get my scan results after 6 carbo/ taxol and 18 Avastin. Been a long wait as the scan was 4 weeks ago but I have tried to put it to the back of my mind. I suppose it could go one of two ways and I am dreading a bad result but hoping for a period of watch and wait. Having

Low grade serous carcinoma - what maintainence therapy
Hi I was diagnosed at 49 with stage 3c LGSOC. I've had debulking surgery ( full hysterectomy, and removing lining of liver and bladder, omentum, appendix, spleen and sigmoid colon). Currently ca 125 of 12 and no disease. I'm trying to decide whether to continue with avastin as maintainence therapy. Apparently

Ovarian Cancer stage 3c since Oct.'15
This is my first post. Had, chemo, debulking, chemo, & Avastin. ( Can't take anymore Avastin.) In Sept. 2016 went into partial remission. My CA125 was 19 then. In Dec. it climbed to 36 & Jan. to 46.9. Doctor's office called me to come a month ahead of time to have another CT. I just had one Jan. 20

Is there help here
Would this be considered Lung Cancer. I have endometrial cancer that spread in my lungs. I had a radical hysterectomy and now the CT Scans are showing spread in my lungs. Treated first by Chemo and now Avastin.
