Got my chemo plan
Busy but good week. Had my port fitted on Wednesday and all good. Itches a bit but not much bruising and no stitches. All done with lasers but the smell of roasting flesh was a little disturbing. Had an afternoon with the cancer nurse on Thursday and was given my plan and then a tour of the chemo

It seems to be quiet on here!
Good morning everyone. I actually have time to browse this morning and it seems fairly quiet - or is my app faulty? My thoughts are with everyone who is struggling at the moment. An update on my situation is that my latest scan still shows disease stability with a small nodule still present but not

Interesting CA125 readings
I am on daily Lynparza 8 pills Twice a day and Avastin every three weeks since December. My CA125 at the start of this protocol was 150 after a 3 or 4 month I was down to 50. Needless to say I was happy. Then it began to creep up, early June it was 105, I had a CT scan that showed no progression of disease

Scan results, not what I was expecting 😕
Results are in and they still show inflammation on the bowel lining and a little bit of fluid. Oncologist was unable to tell me what this was, she said it could be cancer or it could be something else altogether! In terms of next step she said we wait for symptoms then back on chemo, I asked her what

Positivity needed.
Hi all. Yesterday I went for my avastin treatment. They've cancelled it indefinitely as they say it's not doing any good. I had a CT scan two weeks ago and the results of that are clear. I have no symptoms yet being as my CA125 has been slowly creeping up (it's 113 ) they've told me something is going

Countdown to the Next Round of Chemo - Half Full or Half Empty?
Hi Everybody, We have been told that my wife will need to start another course of Chemo in about 8 weeks time. We had this news a couple of weeks ago, and the notion of hopping back onto the merry-go-round has been permeating through me, simmering and stewing. We have had a fairly stable 18 months -

Avastin Therapy
After a roundabout route and three hospitals I have just been offered Avastin therapy which was a surprise - 18 sessions at three weekly intervals - I would welcome anyone else's experience - side effects and general health during a long period of treatment. Brief resume - diagnosed with small cell OC

Advise re bloating
Hi everyone just wondered how it feels to have fluid in the abdomen? I'm stage 3/c ovarian cancer, last scan was April and it was clear, finished avastin in February on icon 8B trial . Just feel uncomfortable niggling pains around back and midriff, have been told it's probably scar tissue from extensive

Monitoring
Hi all. Is there anyone else who doesn't have regular monitoring? I am stage 3b and have two more Avastin treatments before finishing treatment. I am seeing my oncologist next Monday to be signed off. The thing is, he said that he will not be seeing me again unless i have symptoms. No scan no CA checks

Fab holiday. Back to reality.
Had an amazing couple of weeks in Cuba. So glad I have hair now. Lol This is me and my other half who has been my rock for the last year. Got back yesterday and today I have to do a 24 hour urine sample, take it hospital in the morning where they'll do a blood test too. Tomorrow afternoon is a CT

Looking for others experiencing a seemingly permanent floater from silicone oil after Avastin injection
Hoping to get a picture of why this occurred. Was it the compounding lab? Is there still a chance of it going away? ( it has been 6 months). Switched to Lucentis since, so far, so good. It is beyond annoying: the shape and size of an olive slice. White/almost fluorescent center.
