Endometriosis or 'just' tight pelvic floor muscles?
Hi everyone! I feel under such pressure from my doctors and environment to be 'right' about my suspected endometriosis. My GP seems to be the only one who supports me. The team at the hospital (gynaecologist, pelvic floor fysio, sexuologist) are of opinion that I 'just' have tight pelvic floor muscles

9 year old with tummy issues constipation, soiling. Looking for pointers on how to get through this with her.
Hi All 🙂Im new to the group. Im struggling to help my daughter. She says she can’t really tell when she has to go #2. I have a hard time understanding that and find myself getting frustrated with her. She will use the bathroom and come out smelling like poop. When I question her she says shes clean

Local injection of docetaxel shows promise for bladder cancer. Maybe it could be used for PCa where systematic therapy was not tolerated.

Bladder endo or bladder infection?
I have been developing more persistent almost constant pain over the last month which is only barely managed with my current medication. I had timed my pain meds so I should have got a good night sleep, but woke this morning with bladder pain, which I'd had on and off yesterday too. It doesn't feel

Another vacation?
MO wants to take me off ADT after 5 mos PSA down .07 from 3.14 June - October Before the treatment began, the PSA had a 2 mo slope, for the first time. This would be my 3 rd vacation, and beginning of 4th year since 2018 salvage robot prost. I was put on degarelix after 6 mos biological recurrence

2 yr since DX
Today is one of those dates a person remembers but really doesn't want to remember - it was 2 years ago today when my urologist's nurse called me to say "you have mets. I'm sorry". those two small sentences are burned into my memory, i can remember exactly where i was, what direction i was facing,

catheter placement
I've been reading that feeding the catheter via the radial artery at the wrist is preferable for a couple reasons. If there's unwanted bleeding it's much easier to stop in the arm than in the abdominal. There's no need to have to lie flat on your back from 2 to 6 hours after the ablation is completed

How Prostate Cancer May Begin - ScienceDaily, September 21, 2022
As a follow-up to an earlier post (linked below), this more recent research confirms the heterogeneous and dispersed nature of prostate tissue as cancer develops and may explain the reasons why PCa, especially in an advanced and/or metastatic case, is so difficult to treat. This excerpt from the MedPage

Prostate Cancer Treatment & Kidney Stones
Anyone here experience a resurgance of kidney stones during cancer treatment? If so, what were your experiences and do you feel your cancer care team responded well?

Rising PSA after Hormone Resistance
I am hoping for some insight. My husband is stage IV, mets all over his bones and lymphs. He had done Provenge and is half way thru Xofigo infusions. They said PSA really can’t tell us anything now, but they still test it. It has gone from 11.27 in June to 60 this week. And now suddenly his oncologist

Polyuria Nocturia and PTNS
Has anyone had experience or comment on using PTNS (Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation) for managing Polyuria? In particular for problems with the anti-diuretic hormone (ADH). PTNS stimulates the sacral nerve which can control some of the bladder activities.

Rising PSA on taxotere
Feeling discouraged today. Denny's been on Taxotere since July. After an initial rise to 100, he had a 13 point drop in his PSA to 87 in September. Yesterday's lab work shows a PSA of 92 which is where he was in July before he started chemo. He had a PSMA scan in June which showed "very widespread

Silodosin, Frequent Urination and PCa
I'm going to talk to a urologist about adding Silodosin to the myriad of drugs and supplements I take. My main issue is having to get up 4-5 times a night to pee. The primary use of this drug (like flomax) is for enlarged prostrate. My prostrate is not enlarged but, from what I read, this drug is

Where do (potential) future mets come from? Prostate? Or existing mets?
So, I am de novo stage 4 with mets to 6 spots in different bones and have my last (6th) chemo scheduled in 3 weeks. PSA has dropped from 28.2 to just over 1 as of last week. Once 6th chemo is done, will have new scans done about 4 - 6 weeks later and meet with MO as to what's next. I know situations
