I was looking for some advice please, i have raised with the doctors several times regarding my bowels, without giving too much information and being graphic, when i go to the toilet i can only describe it as looking a bit like jelly attached to the stool itself. The doctors have not said much after i keep raising the issue but could this possibly be a sign that my endometriosis is now on my bowel?
I also am having more and more symptoms of constant water infections but the urine test the doctors are doing say it is clear , however it is becoming daily with these issues, could this also be a sign that it is now on my bladder? I must get up several times before going to sleep as i constantly need to wee.
I am currently on a waiting list for my 4th surgery but was wondering if anyone had advice or similar experience or if i need to be concerned
Thanks

It sounds as if your GP maybe struggling with the complexities surrounding endometriosis and it maybe in your favour to ask for referrals to ensure nothing underlying is more remiss. Flares or associated IBS or other things may cause the bowel changes you are describing so it is worth pursuing a request to return to the endo specialist and ask for a referral to gastro. Multiple prescriptions of antibiotics can cause issues too. Bowel inflammation can also lead to increase in UTI’s in my experience .
As to the urine coming back clear. The test is only as good as what’s tested for. If you don’t test then you don’t get. A frequently untested bacteria that can cause UTI’s is Klebiesella. It’s particularly of interest if you have endo as it is often found in the pelvic area of those with endo or adenomyosis . Recent studies show its association with endometriosis and being a major part in inflammation. It is associated with urine leaking, infection, and pneumonias. It’s not sensitive to all antibiotics used for UTI’s so may not have been treated if it’s present. A lot of labs don’t test for it as matter of course and can return results as clear as consequence. Worth you digging around for the info to share with your GP ?
Having a klebiesella infection can affect the digestive process as apparently it can trigger a lactose intolerance too. So the merry go round of gut inflammation continues which might or might not be part of why your bowel is unhappy. It does need to be properly checked out as we can have more than one illness at a time !!! (I discovered this particular dance while tackling constant UTI’s and living off antibiotics and my digestive system just crumbled. I took Omega 3 to repair the leaky gut for 3 months , then added probiotics and coming off lactose as been hugely beneficial too. )
Everyone has there own particular mix so keep digging and bowel change is to be taken seriously.
I have endo on the outside of my bowel, the main symptom is pain if I get at all constipated.
I also probably have endo on my bladder, assessed by a consultant but not formally diagnosed. I used to find I had pain after emptying a full bladder, as it contracted. I also have frequency and urgency.
The surgery when you have it will hopefully give you more answers. Do you find the symptoms vary during your cycle? Your GP can prescribe medication to help with the urinary frequency- it does have some side effects. Also worth asking them to check your blood sugar if they haven’t as frequent peeing is also associated with diabetes.
I think it is a good idea to ask about referral back to Gynae for advice on these issues, or to gastroenterology re the specific bowel issue.
