Prazosin side effect
I use Prazosin for possible anti-PCa effects. Alas, all is not gold that glitters. Prazosin is prescribed for LUTS and high blood pressure, with an effect that tends to lower diastolic more than systolic ( upper number) blood pressure. In my own case it can lower diastolic to below 60, which tends

Blood Clots in Urine
My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate cancer in October. Gleason 4+3 and PSA 34. First Eligard shot in October. He just completed 30/44 rounds of radiation. Last night he had some major blood clotting in his urine. Blocking his flow. Today only a little bit. By this afternoon it had cleared up

Has anyone had a bad reaction to Oramorph?
Reading the thread about using opioids for RLS, I wonder if anyone has tried Oramorph? As I have stage 4 cancer, when I had some bad pain I was prescribed this liquid medicine but found that it made my RLS ten times worse. It stopped the pain a treat and I only took 2.5 mls ( a tiny amount) but my legs

Tingly lower legs! Why? I’m on 4.5mg Prednisolone and feel ready to taper again but I’m concerned about the leg discomfort.
Diagnosed last May and started on 15mg. Tapered easily to 3.5mg by December then early Jan I got the flu and had my first flare. I went up by 1mg and am still on 4.5mg now, but I’m well and feel ready to taper by .5mg. I have tingly lower legs and wondered if this is related to PMR/Pred? Any advice

MS Hug
I don't know if this is a MS Hug or not but I feel like I have a band around my ribs that is squeezing me. I have hurt all the way through from my back to my chest. I also have tenderness in my abdomen. I have just finished a round of steroids because of a flare caused by COVID and a secondary infection

Lesions on the Bowel
Hi there, I have recently undergone laparoscopic excision of endometriosis and adhesiolysis at the end of January. So over a week post op. My surgeon found deep and well established lesions from my Sigmoid, lower part of my bowel to the wall of my left ovary. All of my peritoneum was excised completely

RISING PSA
Just want to add. My last bone scan was September 2022, results were negative, no sign of cancer in bones. Last Prostate MRI was September 2022, was told cancer still contained in capsule.

Hello, my dad (age 61) was diagnosed with stage 4 (Gleason 9) with multiple bone metastases back in September of 2022. We have since found out he is also BRCA2 positive with a germline mutation. Gut is now at metaplasia stage and it's irreversible. Need advice, friends.
Hello, It has been some time since I last wrote so I will refresh your memories a bit. In a nutshell, I was diagnosed with autoimmune atrophic gastritis two years ago which caused PA and b12 deficiency. I take 1000 mcg B12 cyanocobalamin once daily but sometimes twice if I'm feeling poorly at the end

Another cancelled Rheumy appointment - UPDATE
I decided to phone to Rheumy Nurse Helpline as I I was concerned about the 3 months gap between blood tests, due to cancelled appointments. She agreed this was too long and I now have an appointment for blood test tomorrow. She also told me that I should have had a phone call 3 weeks ago to give me

G68 PSMA vs Pylarify
If insurance covers both, at the same psa number which scan is more sensitive to locate bone metastases or soft tissue/ lymph node metastases. If there have been any comparison studies/ data please share. Thank you!
