Gemzar really kills my appetite. The Thought of most food nauseates me. Here are a few ideas that have helped:

Good n Plenty coated licorice candy settles my stomach better than Zofran.

Plain crackers and peanut butter.

Ginger ale with a splash of Aperol (the bitterness helps w nausea)

Plain cereal

Hopes this helps someone.

thanks for this Leniko! I’m starting soonish. The Aperol one made me laugh. Like I need an excuse to drink that! I hope you get good results from this chemo.

thanks and good luck. I have NO interest in wine on this med, but Aperol really helps! Salud!

Thanks. I'm currently getting Gemzar. At first, I had no appetite but my nausea has been minimal. After 5 rounds over the past 5 months, my appetite is normal again. It appears my body has acclimated to the Gemzar.
