Updated diagnosis of autoimmune thyroid disorder
Just an update. Unsurprisingly with elevated thyroid antibodies I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid disorder. As I currently have some hyper symptoms as well as hypo ones, the private GO who’s diagnosed me very sensibly, imo, wants to test again to ensure she gets the diagnosis and treatment

How to get bladder to hold urine again? Bladder training?

Medications that reduce an overactive bladder
A friend, who is not on steroids, has just been diagnosed with an
overactive
bladder
and has been prescribed solifenacin (Vesicare) and says she no longer gets up at night. I just wondered if anyone else suffers and has been prescribed the same or similar medication and finds it works.

Thyroid antibodies test
My daughter had a thyroid antibodies test in May which was quite high. The hospital referred her back to our GP to be monitored for underactive thyroid. I have seen some posts that say antibodies test is a sign of Hashimoto's or Graves disease so I am just looking for some advice and guidance as I

Ovulation test with overactive bladder
I have a very
overactive
/painful
bladder
and am finding it difficult to retain my urine for more than 3 hours before testing. It's also affecting my sleep as each time I get up in the night to pee I am checking the time to make sure I'm not leaving too short a gap before testing.

My thyroid story-Part 1, Thyroiditis
My story is likely very similar to many others on here but I thought it might help someone in their own experience with thyroid disease or maybe they can give me some pointers on what to expect in the future. Back in November 2022, both my husband and I got a very bad virus and were both sick for quite

Salvage options?
Hello again, I have a few more questions, to help my husband decide between surgery and brachyboost. For context, he is localized Gleason 9. (1) Is the course of salvage radiation after RP typically the same as it would have been if the initial treatment had been radiation therapy? Or would it require

Very worried about Mom
Hello everyone - wish you all a healthy path.My Mother was admitted to the hospital Monday morning and we found out she had urinary infection that went to her kidney and then blood. She had stopped taking venetoclax since Sunday. They are giving her antibiotics but her blood counts are out of whack.

Surgery or radiation, looking for some advices
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advices for my father. He was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. He probably already had it for a long time. Quite high PSA (way over 20), and spread to multiple lymph nodes. The surgeon said surgery is still doable, followed by radiation. Radiation oncologist

Discomfort
Hi all. I'm getting discomfort in my upper abdomen. It's not pain exactly but it's uncomfortable. It's like IBS, which I suffer with, but can't take peppermint oil anymore. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal? It's not bloated like I had when I was diagnosed with cirrhosis. Apart from this

Prolia shots
After 4+ years of Actonel is Prolia a good choice for continued treatment of osteoporosis? I will be asking my rheumatologist the same question next time I see her. I am due for another bone scan so she will most likely want to see that first but based on the first 2 tests I am going downhill bone-wise

Urinary Issues
I have had urinary issues for a long time. Urgency, frequency, retention, pain. No "incontinence" if i can get to a toilet or get the dick out to pee on the ground fast enough. Every day is a different combination of the above and I have never been able to figure out what causes each symptom or how
