AMD Drugs... yes or no?
AMD perhaps... doc wants me on prednisolone acetate and nepafenac ophthalmic susp. drugs for 6 weeks... and I'm concerned it will give me a problem with my immunity... Any thoughts... he want to see if it is really AMD before giving shots... sounds like the shots do the trick... seems started by stress

Ice cream headache feeling after going out and aftermath
It has gotten very cold up here. I went out yesterday and the cold hit me like an ice cream headache. I have felt really dizzy, feel like I want to walk, stumble to the right and I feel sicky! Anyone else? I have hats but did not think it was that cold! Is this a regular? Not really been out for 5 years

I'm new here...
I first noticed an issue May 2018, just thought my ears needed a clear out of wax, I got referred to ENT after a hearing test and further visits to the doctors, in 6 months, after an MRI scan was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma. In that time my hearing on the left side diminished pretty quickly to

Pulsatile Tinnitus diagnosis and cure
I would be interested in hearing other members experience with Pulsatile Tinnitus. I am interested in the process of diagnosis (hearing tests, Stethoscope test by doctor, scans, etc) they experienced and if anyone has found a cure that worked for them. I have had Pulsatile tinnitus for some 2 years

What DMARD after Methotrexate?
Hi everyone I have posted before about my weekly 15mg MTX injection and the side effects I am having (very dry mouth). I contacted my rheumy nurse and she said in her 35 years at her post she has never heard of this and did not give any advice at all. Last night I was up twice again drinking a pint of

Tinnitus and sulphites
Has anyone found that after eating foods containing sulphites their tinnitus gets worse..? I am also thinking that sodium laurel sulphate in hair dye, toothpaste, hair shampoo & conditioner possibly makes it worse too. Would be interested to know if anyone else has any experience of this. Thanks.

What forms of Otosclerosis are helped by Flouride treatment?
Hello, The British Tinnitis Society at https://www.tinnitus.org.uk/otosclerosis says “Fluoride treatment has been used with good results in certain forms of otosclerosis but is generally not favoured in the UK. If fluoride treatment is considered it is essential to know the concentration of fluoride

Side effects of Azithromycin
I see that quite a few of folks here take Azithromycin particularly in the winter months. I have severe COPD and brittle asthma and for the past couple of years it has been suggested that I take Azithromycin during the winter months to avoid exacerbations. I've put off taking it but after so many hospital

I'm seeing no up side to this whole neck surgery thing. So far I had to quit smoking. Me! And I'm still NOT HAPPY about it! I had the surgery, and and it hurts! New pain is NOT OK! I can deal with old pain, but new pain on top of old pain? No! Just no! So I called the Drs and said I need meds. Morning

Ear and jaw discomfort
Anybody experiencing jaw pain under the ear. Every afternoon it feels like my right ear begins to fill up and the jaw under is sore and sometimes painful. Doc says this is definitely one of the endless symptoms we endure with hypothyroidism but I was just wondering if anybody here had noticed it.
