Worried I have Meniere's...
Hi all, I developed sudden 24/7 tinnitus in my left ear back in March and after various hearing tests etc was told it was just down to some high frequency hearing loss. I came to terms with it as much as I could but in the summer I began to have to odd day of feeling out of sorts - dizzy and slightly

My symptoms evolved a bit from being constantly off balance and nauseous to rushes of a sort of falling feeling that only lasted a few

How frequently do those with Menieres Disease experience episodes of dizziness and nausea?
I'm interested how frequently those with Menieres Disease experience episodes of dizziness and nausea. I'm waiting for doctors appointment following a blood test this week, after reporting dizziness and nausea. I said I suspect it's related to my hearing loss, tinnitus and hyperacusis. They immediately

I cannot blame the PMR
Saw another ENT doctor yesterday (never the top dog) and they had the results of my MRI. My sudden hearing loss was not the result of my autoimmune issues - not PMR or hypothyroidism. No, I have an acoustic neuroma or also known as vestibular schwannoma. No one wants a brain tumour but I guess this

AN misdiagnosed?
Hi there, I was diagnosed back in March 2021 with an AN on my left side by an ENT at my local hospital following an MRI. Tinnitus and metformin
Hello, I have had tinnitus in the form of a hissing sound in both ears since January 2020. I thought I was coping with it OK, it had essentially become background noise but in the past 5 weeks it has gotten considerably louder which coincides with taking metform for diabetes at two tablets per day, prior

Newly Diagnosed with FND. Question
Hello- I (42yrs old) was officially diagnosed with FND this past week, although in fairness I believed this was the cause for quite some time. I even had a neck surgery thinking that was the cause...ugh. As many here, its been a whirl wind 2 years with every known neurological symptom coming and going

Coloured lights in eye
Does anyone get coloured lights in the eye associated with GCA? I'm not talking about the "scintillating scotoma" or visual migraine (have had several of those over the past 15 years) but rather a large yellow blob which runs up the side of the eye on the side towards the nose. Most noticeable in the

Help to support PSP sufferer
I'm new here, first post. Really want to help counsel someone with PSP. Any tips from anyone would be so useful. Has anyone had counselling and what helped most in terms of helping with the emotional trauma of living with the condition and the way to deal with the prognosis. So far I think I have

Private Hearing Aids?
Hi I recently had a private hearing test and tried out two new hearing aids at The Hearing Clinic UK. I could hear the consonant sound 'th' for the first time in years and my own voice sounded much better. It normally sounds stretchy and tinny with my NHS hearing aids. I have sensorineural hearing loss

Awaiting AN treatment
I had noticed progressive hearing loss and tinnitus in right ear and had put it down to noise exposure. I was fitted with a hearing aid in July 2020 and was referred for MRI as a precautionary measure. I had confirmation of 1.5 cm AN in November (COVID delays). It was suggested to wait 12 month for

Possible Borderline Hypothyroidism
Hi, I am new to this forum but after test results reading all I can. After not feeling well for a couple of years after a major op I asked my GP for an iron test. Iron was fine, but she also tested for thyroid which I have never had before. Reading other posts and articles, it looks like I could

Dizzy spells
On Friday I went all dizzy and had to sit down at work. I work as a breakfast chef and when the DM came outside to tell me there is a check on and come back to cook breakfast I could not! I couldn't stand up without falling over and when I tried to move my head everything was spinning! Horrible horrible

Mother & Son bonding whilst running
I absolutely love running with my adult son, finding the time to run early on a Sunday morning is just awesome. Its just a shame that it takes me (53 years old) at least 10 minutes to find my pace. We like to do 5k, today it was done in 37 minutes a pb for us both. I still find it a mental challenge

Acupuncture to Manage Pain?
Hi everyone! I am just wondering if anyone has tried acupuncture therapy for managing abdominal issues/pain and how it worked out for you? I have read that some oncologists do suggest acupuncture to their patients who have had gynecological surgery and curious about any real life examples of success.
