I was diagnosed with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis in 2022. I have had several appointments with a consultant who has now discharged me saying there is nothing they can do.

Has anyone heard anything about the Root Cause Protocol for osteoporosis? It has you stop taking calcium supplements and Vitamin D and instead getting these from food. A friend has osteoporosis and her DEXA scans have increased twice with the latest being a 6.6 increase in her lumbar spine.

Hi everyone, I have severe osteoporosis, and was told that I need to start daily Forteo injections for 2 years to build up my bone. Has anyone here experienced adverse effects on RLS due to osteoporosis meds? Thanks for any information you may care to share!

Was diagnosed with osteoporosis just over 5years ago, have completed5 a year course of alendronic acid with no problems ,but my osteoporosis is apparently very severe, although I am OK apart from occasional spinal fractures.......

Have had a Dexascan which shows osteoporosis but have yet to have an appointment at an osteoporosis clinic. Currently very tearful and worried about the future. I’m very uncomfortable and feel like my ribs have pressing on my hips.

My surgeon told me that the operation should also halt my osteoporosis. Has anyone else had this advice given to them?

I have had PV for four years and was just diagnosed with Osteoporosis. I just found out on the patient portal so I haven’t met with the doctor yet. Does anyone else here have both? Has anyone heard if PV can contribute to bone loss?

Hello, after 5 years on Alendronic acid my osteoporosis bone count is now worse -4.1 and so I am due to start Evenity (Romosozumab) once my tooth extraction has healed. I would be pleased to hear from anyone has experience of this medication please.

Does that mean I only have osteoporosis in my hip or is it an indication of bone health across my body?

Like many, I used to think that issues like osteoporosis only affected older people, but recent experiences have changed my perspective.

I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis earlier this year but the process for approving my medication has been a long one. I’m about to start Teriparatide injections and am quite anxious about it.

A couple of months ago I was diagnosed with osteoporosis after suffering acute back pain while jogging. An MRI showed several vertebral fractures and a DEXA confirmed my diagnosis. Blood tests showed no underlying metabolic causes, so I'm just unlucky I guess.

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis about 5 years ago was put on alendronic acid tablet form for 2 years which I then stopped only side effect was irritated my stomach a bit.

Which K2 supplement is best for osteoporosis? Do I need to take it? I already take Alendronic Acid and Accrete. I do lots of weight bearing exercises and walk five miles wearing a weighted vest most days.

T scores come in as L1 =1.9 and L2 = 0.1 All the rest come in between -0.2 and -0.8 Have had a message to say make appointment to see GP re Osteoporosis. Are these results I should be really worried about? Apart from the first two the rest dont seem to me to be terribly high .
