I was diagnosed with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis in 2022. I have had several appointments with a consultant who has now discharged me saying there is nothing they can do.

Following a Dexa Scan, I have been diagnosed with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia. At the moment I am awaiting to see my doctor this week to discuss.

Good morning all Has anyone had a yearly infusion for osteoporosis zoledronic acid? What side effects will I expect? I have severe osteoporosis now.my consultant has recommended it. I am on life time prednisolone for inflammatory arthritis.

Hello I am newly diagnosed with osteoporosis and also have osteoarthritis in some joints, I'm waiting for a dentist checkup before I start medication and I'm going to go to an osteoporosis clinic at some point, I was just wondering what sort of exercise and diet is a good idea, I do do dance classes

Hi there I am new to Osteoporosis and had my first Denosumab 6 monthly jab over 2 months ago . I was first alerted to Osteoporosis on a screening routine lung scan which showed a fracture in my lower vertebrae which I didnt know about.

Has anyone heard anything about the Root Cause Protocol for osteoporosis? It has you stop taking calcium supplements and Vitamin D and instead getting these from food. A friend has osteoporosis and her DEXA scans have increased twice with the latest being a 6.6 increase in her lumbar spine.

I have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis in the spine. I am a keen golfer. There seems to be conflicting information online as to whether golf should be played with spinal osteoporosis. Some say there is a risk of fracturing a vertebrae. Others say to keep active and continue playing.

I also tried to find out how my scores compare to others with Osteoporosis, but all I seem to find is the level Osteoporosis is diagnosed.

I'm 44yrs old & got diagnosed with osteoporosis over the summer. I read on here that some of you have a consultant & you know your dexa score & where the osteoporosis is . I don't have this , it was my GP that requested my scan & then gave me my results.

Have had a Dexascan which shows osteoporosis but have yet to have an appointment at an osteoporosis clinic. Currently very tearful and worried about the future. I’m very uncomfortable and feel like my ribs have pressing on my hips.

Hi everyone, I have severe osteoporosis, and was told that I need to start daily Forteo injections for 2 years to build up my bone. Has anyone here experienced adverse effects on RLS due to osteoporosis meds? Thanks for any information you may care to share!

I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis. I have a number of fractures. Some old, some new. I would like to buy a back support, can anybody recommend a brand / type that works well with my condition.

Was diagnosed with osteoporosis just over 5years ago, have completed5 a year course of alendronic acid with no problems ,but my osteoporosis is apparently very severe, although I am OK apart from occasional spinal fractures.......

I have had PV for four years and was just diagnosed with Osteoporosis. I just found out on the patient portal so I haven’t met with the doctor yet. Does anyone else here have both? Has anyone heard if PV can contribute to bone loss?

Hello, after 5 years on Alendronic acid my osteoporosis bone count is now worse -4.1 and so I am due to start Evenity (Romosozumab) once my tooth extraction has healed. I would be pleased to hear from anyone has experience of this medication please.

Hi , anyone of you lovely people have any infoI was diagnosed last week with quite bad osteoporosis on a dexa scan i have had high t4 and low t3 for many years due to bad cobversion.. just wondered if anyone had experience with this.

I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis. My doctor prescribed Boniva (Ibandronate sodium tablets) once a month, and told me to eat calcium rich foods and take a calcium supplement and vitamin D, plus to walk and do weight bearing exercises.

I have to start taking Binosto for osteoporosis which I'm told to take first thing and then stay upright for 30 minutes before consuming anything else. I normally take my Prednisolone first thing in the morning. I'm not sure whether I should leave more that 30 mins before I take the Pred.
