Seeking advice on blood results
Doctor won’t change protocol at all as have signs of
osteopenia
in my lower back (which she believes is from suppressed TSH...) though believes I was severely vitamin D deficient for a while based on symptoms/indication in bone marker results from a previous blood test.

Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, Parkinson's Disease And Melatonin : The Melatonin Series Continues
Since PwP are at increased risk for Osteoporosis and
Osteopenia
, I am writing this post to illustrate how once again, Melatonin may be quite useful for the purpose of staving off or preventing Osteoporosis or
Osteopenia

The reason for the almond milk is that my dietician (NHS) recommended it to use occasionally - extra calcium as I have
osteopenia
. And Coconut syrup / sugar is supposedly a better sugar than normal stuff. It also tastes really nice!

Anyone had experience of ankle fusion following ankle replacement?
Also developed
osteopenia
2006, treated with AA, have recently had a second stress fracture of my R fibula which they suspect is due to biomechanical influences but are doing bloods to exclude vitamin D deficiency and parathyroid disease.

Alendronic Acid 2 years on.
I now have
osteopenia
instead of Osteoporosis. Apart from taking Alendronic acid i have increased my exercise routine. I'm 62 this year and I'm retired so doing a half hour of stretches, weights, heel bumps and some floor exercises every morning isn't a problem.

Prolia vs. alternative vs. Forteo?
I've got quite bad osteoporosis in my spine (-3.7 T score), and I have
osteopenia
in my hips. I'm 59, have always been quite thin and not terribly athletic, and lactose intolerant. No fractures yet.

In focus: exercise - strength
If your bone density as shown on a bone density (DEXA) scan (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/dexa-scan/) is lower than the average adult, but not low enough to be diagnosed as osteoporosis, this is called
osteopenia

Zoledronic Acid ~Infusion
My hip is showing a T score of -1.6 and
Osteopenia
I am pretty sure this hasn't changed in 2 years but can't find the results. My question is, do you think this is really necessary? Been on pred since 2011.

Anybody on Zometa injection/ Zoledronic acid?
Hello everyone, I had a bone scan last week and it revealed
osteopenia
😱😨🤯 I’m not surprised as I feel it. My poor bones have deteriorated since I started on Anastrazole and now I’m on Exemastene. I’m 42 so I have to be on hormone therapy for 10 years and I don’t know if my bones will hold up.

Tail bone
I got diagnosed with
osteopenia
about 7 years ago. Have been well but just of late have been getting a pain in my back right on the tail bone. Not sure if it is fractured?? Keep getting a pressure type pain in the groin area. Would this be the usual symptoms? Thanks all for reading

Osteopenia diagnosed
Dexa scan shows
osteopenia
, don't yet know reading. GP will call tomorrow to discuss (my request). I'm thinking this should be straightforward, that GP will keep me on Allendronic Acid, Calcium, Vitamin D and Prednisolone: I am slow tapering between 9mg and 8mg and this seems to be going well.

Addison’s with PMR
I have Addison’s disease and I’m steroid dependent with
osteopenia
, I can’t take any more steroids. What would the Dr. give me besides steroids? I was told I can’t take NSAIDs either because of the steroids and my stomach lining.
