Recent hip replacement following trip on drive now prescribed Adcal D3. Read this can lead to strokes and heart attacks over time.
Will a calcium and D3 diet be better than taking Adcal D3. Also on 20 mg omeprazole which can lessen calcium absorption.

Vitamin D deficiency may predict COVID-19 seroconversion
There were ~390 healthcare workers in the study. With a median age of 41 years, almost 75% were female, and over 70% white. More than 60% had other chronic illnesses. The level of vitamin D3 was ~56 nmol/l on average. About 16% had VDD, with a mean of 22·0 nmol/l in the vitamin D deficient group vs.

Trying again
I posted earlier today but didn’t post correctly, I apologise for that. I’ve been hypo for 10 years and also diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia in 2017. I was prescribed iron tablets from my gp but they caused incontinence issues so I had to stop taking them. Instead I take Gentle Iron which seems

Are My Vit D Levels Low Due to Parathyroid?
I'm female and in my mid 50s based in the UK. My calcium levels have been gradually increasing over the years but still within the 'normal' range (2.20 - 2.60) at 2.47mmol/L . My Vitamin D levels were 20 nmol/L ( less than 25 is deemed deficient) and parathyroid hormone was 7.7 pmol/L (norm = 1.60 -

Can Prednisolone Cause Extreme Fatigue?
I am awaiting a biopsy for confirmation of a diagnosis of GCA and started 60mg Prednisolone daily 5 days ago. I take them straight after breakfast but am getting absolutely crushing fatigue around lunchtime and the first half of the aftenoon. This is worse than the fatigue I was experiencing before starting

VITS before BLOOD TEST
Hi, I'm due another blood test soon, GP for TSH, and Medichecks for the rest. I know not to take Levothyroxine for 24hrs before test. I'm also taking Magnesium Malate, Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2 MK-7 and L-Selenomethionine. Should I stop these before testing or continue? Thanks in advance.
