Possible Nerve damage...what do I do?
The specialist is staying away from
opioids
, but says Ketamine IV treatments should help. He literally looked at my arm for a solid 15 minutes, based on his tests he said I had nerve damage. I dont know what else to do...

The latest on my battle with sciatica
Please don't say, "Be careful with the
opioids
." I understand the dangers, but as I said, they blessedly help with the pain. Anyway, here in the USA to doctor is not going to continue prescribing them.

Starting to take LDN for unbelievably severe anxiety depression and pain.
I did get off of
opioids
about little over two years ago. I've only taken a few recent doses of Norco. But not sleeping doctor says I have no endorphins. And he's right every little thing hurts extra bad.

MRI failure
Well, these
opioids
do NOTHING to relieve the pain. They don't touch it. I just don't know what to do. There is no break from this pain. It is 24/7. I want to go out on the streets to get heroin. I need the strongest pain reliever known to man. I'm losing my mind, I really am.

It wasn't easy, but I'm still here ...
My 7 day Coma and Multiple Organ failure was due to my choice to use Bourbon instead of
Opioids
for the pain of my 2nd broken back. My healing took 5 years due to homelessness after being released from the hospital.

Managing pain .....or not!
For instance all
opioids
can cause constipation and this can have really extreme effects in older people.

Spring has sprung
Opioids
are supposed to stop the pain. They really do not, take to many and hospital for “YOU” my friend. Disease Modifying Therapy (DMT) is supposed to slow the progression o our illness. IT DOES, slow it but not cure it. Nothing does.

Calling All USA Suffers This is Your Chance to Help Us All!
Hi, I know there are a number of people on here from the US and there is some very important legislation about to be made that could affect us all or at the very least those of us with Refractory RLS where nothing BUT
opioids
will help.

The study aims to show
opioids
help RLS and the dose does not increase over many years. It will help doctors and legislators understand that long term low dose
opioids
are essential for refractory RLS, especially after Augmentation.

Finally off Mirapex!
I saw that
opioids
were used for treatment. I took a Percocet 5mg. that I had leftover from past knee surgery and voila I had a beautiful night’s sleep! My internist was willing to prescribe it ( this was before the current Opioid hysteria).

FDA Statement on Opioids
The FDA have released a helpful statement to distinguish between dependence and addiction to
opioids
. For those of us dependent on
opioids
to control our severe RLS, this will be useful to print out for our GPs.

Correct management of opioids?
Currently been upped from codeine to tramadol due to pain increases. The codeine made me high and the tramadol doesn’t, ive never really had an issue taking/not taking the codeine but the tramadol... I’ve had withdrawals for the last few days. I asked my doc how to manage taking the tramadol, as I have

Fear of what if.
After my second or third overdose on
opioids
, I figured maybe I had nothing to lose, so why not try it. My fear turned out to be very unjustified. If only I had researched more and asked more questions and told myself, that perhaps my fear was a little unjustified.

Managing pain and failing biological agents
I lost my rheumatologist whom had originally suggested that I look at accepting pain management with
opioids
. My new doc is very against them. And is very upset that I continue to use them.

Long Term Pain Relief
An article in today's press that might be of interest, https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jan/21/opiods-chronic-pain-prescribe Maybe I'm missing something, but I found this article pretty gloomy,
opioids
don't generally work for chronic pain, but the NHS hasn't the resource to offer much
