My doctor said the government (DEA) is shutting down medical offices who prescribe too many opioids, narcotics, benzos. According to a scale given to doctors by the government I have 280 points and anyone over 200 points is a problem. I take hydrocodone for migraines and pregabalin for RLS.

I do the same with Ropinirole, adding 0.125mg nightly to 300 mg Pregabalin, because I will never get to sleep otherwise ..... I wonder what the thoughts are

RLS suffers hate taking medication we are the least likely cohort to abuse opioids. People who suffer addiction no they do and avoid opioids.

Does anyone have advice for managing insomnia from when they take opioids? This has always been a challenge for me. Nothing to do with rls keeping me awake. Opioids have always made me a little bit wired.

im reading alot on here about gabapentin and opioids for RLS. I'm in the states and they simply WONT prescribe any opioid since drug abuse is such a problem..

I'm too far down the medication route but for those newly diagnosed or with milder RLS or those who do not want to take Alpha2Delta ligands or opioids, it may help. If anyone does try it, do let us know the results.
