Dental treatment and Blood thinners
Hello all, I am due a dental appointment next week, and I'm getting very nervous because this will be my first since I started on Apixoban (blood thinner). I have a very dodgy tooth that is due extraction - has anyone had a tooth out whilst on a thinner - was it done at the surgery, or is it a hospital

All about cannabis
The first series called 'The Sacred Plant', about the history and use of cannabis, was extremely informative. The second series is now airing free for the next few hours. If you hop on quick you can view the episode on pain. It might help. Please watch it if you can. It will stop any fear you may have

Dental treatment
Hi all, had anyone been referred to a dental hospital for treatment? Every time I have had dental work my body reacts to the anesthetic meaning I tremor violently from head to toe, and the anaesthetic didn’t numb the gum! So they gave me more which made the problem twice as bad and still no numbness.

Sleep, Anyone? Anyone?
Have any of you suffered from hyper insomnia, then changed meds and had some good sleep at last? At very long last? I am still on a small-ish dose of pramipexole, ready to wean with the help of methadone. Benzos make no difference to sleep, sadly. Nor do all the whacked out remedies, magnesium and

I am hoping some of you can weigh in on this. I have had RLS since 2012 and have tried practically every medicine, Rx and OTC, folklore (the bar of soap...lol), etc., for RLS and the only thing that has consistently helped me is Requip 2 mg at bedtime. Unfortunately, I developed daytime RLS a few months

Dentist.
Hi all I’m currently at the stim stage of my icsi cycle and I’ve just possibly dislodge a filling. Is it safe to have dental treatment - I’m likely going for egg collection and transfer next week and the earliest appointment I can get is after next week for the dentist. Also do I need to tell them I’

The real "DRUG WAR FACTS..."
Hi everyone, Here is the other link: http://www.drugwarfacts.org/chapter/causes_of_death THIS CLEARLY STATES CAUSES OF DEATH. If I died in the emergency ward right now, since I have OPIOIDS in my system, my death would be blamed on opioids. I would be a static. But, when I get to the Coroner's table,

Recent data indicate that most dental treatments may be performed in patients taking NOACs without an increased likelihood of bleeding
If you are worried about risks of bleeding and wondered if you need to discontinue NOACs before undergoing dental treatment – you should read this rather reassuring article and share it with your dentist too. https://bit.ly/2scI2P0 I hope you will find it helpful.

Trigeminal Neuralgia and PAIN
It really is ALL about how YOU think about it and how YOU react to it. I remember for months on end going to bed and having the waves of pain crash upon my face. It did not matter what I did, ice packs, heat packs new pillows, new sleeping positions. No medicine helped no amount of medicine helped

Damaged by pain clinic!
I have been suffering an intractable pain problem in my lower back for just over 5 years, can’t remember exactly but 3 1/2 years ago was offered an epidural, I had the injection with no warning from consultant, this injection was depemedrone, after the injection my pain levels went through the roof,
