Yesterday I had a mouth biopsy for lichen planus. Afterwards I had a really bad headache and am now suffering sensitivity to light and difficulty swallowing. The dental hospital says it not due to the biopsy. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Dear Woodpecker,

The mouth is a VERY sensitive part of the body and a Biopsy with, unless I'm mistaken, involves Removing 'Something', may cause Unexpected Results. You mention a Dental Hospital, can I assume therefore, that you didn't see a Standard Dentist. Was it a Maxilla-Facial Surgeon? Maybe a further appointment, to see the Actual Person who did the work?

All that said- the face/cheek is the Fastest Healing part of the body, or so 'they' say. You could always ask to see a Maxilla Facial Surgeon, if it wasn't one who did the work.

Sorry that your still in, so much pain Woodpecker.

Please do 'Let Us Know', will you?

Warmest Wishes, hope you feel better soon.
