More Pain at Night?
Anybody else suffering pain mostly, or only, at night? Anybody know why Erythromelalgia and/or MPN bone pain can be so much worse at night? I can get through the day, but then most nights, when the pain gets bad, only three 10/325 Hydrocodone will give me any relief. And, I hate taking that much of

Post radical prostatectomy
Well it's Saturday and on Wednesday I had robotic surgery to remove my prostate at a terrific place in NYC. So far the pain and discomfort is worse than I expected and I admit to being grateful for opiate pain killers. Now it's a rough 6 days, ahead before the catheter comes out and then the next phase

MY STORY
However, (my new best friend and savior), my specialist does not seem to share my concerns, and is totally against the use of
opiates
, at least at this early stage of my diagnosis. I sometimes want to pinch myself as I can't believe the comfort that I am now enjoying.

Staying Sober
Suffering form anxiety, with a prior history of abusing benzodiazepines and
opiates
can be difficult when you are in need of a quick fix. Not that other medications don't work, but for me it seems they don't work all the time.

Augmentation
I have been on the Neupro patch for several years and felt I was augmenting. My doctor doesn’t have any knowledge about restless legs but is willing to be guided by me! After reading some of Dr Buchfuhrer’s opinions ie he takes his patients off DA’s completely and sometimes uses Gaberpentin plus an opiate

Tramadol Withdrawal
After over 2 years on 100mg Tramadol my sleep reduced from 8 hrs day, RLS symptoms started earlier in the day and spread from legs and arms to hands as well. Rather than Tolerance I suspected Augmentation and spent 4 weeks reducing Tramadol to zero whilst building up a mild Gabapentin dose (3x100mg).

Ldn prescriber Dr. Cory Tichauer has 15 years experience and runs his naturopathic “Bear Creek Clinic” in Oregon.
He avoids
opiates
and antibiotics as much as possible, and does a great job of combining conventional western medicine with Naturopathy. Review by Ken Bruce https://vimeo.com/241816701

Synthroid 50 MCG
I've recently started taking two 25 microgram tablets to equal 50 mcg. I did this because the doctor didn't increase the dose. 25 did not do anything. However, after taking the 50 mcg I notice that I get slightly drowsy and relaxed, like i'm on a low dose of the opiate hydrocodone. I feel no difference

I want to try Rotigotine patch but worried about w/d's from Dihydocodeine.
Hi all, I've had RLS for years and tried all the usual. I'm currently taking Dihydrocodeine bt of course my tolerance has increased and although it works, I'm now sleeping too deeply and for too long which is effecting my life. I have never tried Rotigotine but my Neurologist did suggest it before I

The weather has changed and I am in so much pain!
This morning the clouds came over and because it is summer the barometer has dropped and as usual I am in horrible pain in my feet!! My lovely son massaged my feet and I jokingly said to him I wish I knew someone who sold marijuana! Here is Australia the bill has been passed for medical marijuana but

Lymphedema
Has anyone heard of opiate intrathecal induced lymphedema? I have a pain pump and recently heard about this. I have lymphedema and am wondering if this is the cause of it.

I'm Putting My Life Back Together (But I'm Struggling)
Hello, I'm new to the community. Well, I've struggled with depression my entire life. I remember being 12 and having the feeling like there's a veil over my eyes, that I could no longer really see or experience the world. I also grew up in a very homophobic household, which was really hard. I was

Review- how do you know if this is as good as you will get on a treatment?
Hi all I haven’t posted for a while as been adjusting. RA diagnosed March, been on methotrexate since April alongside hydroxychloroquine since January. MTX by injections since June due to bad side effects on pills. Currently 20mg a week. I have a review next week with a new consultant. I am wondering
