Think I've ovulated during FET
I'm currently on short protocol for a FET next Thursday (5th Dec). I've been on oestrogen patches since Friday 15th November and due to start my progesterone on Saturday. However I think I've just ovulated today, don't wan to go into too much detail.... Should this be happening as I thought the drugs

Lupus and hrt
I've been started on hrt - estrogen gel, and progesterone tablets - and just wanted to check it's ok to take because on the progesterone leaflet it mentions sle on a list of conditions that could have increased symptoms taking it. My gp said it wasn't a problem when I saw her and she prescribed it

Lupron vs Orchiectomy
I am curious if anyone has had Lupron injections for a while and has been able to maintain leg muscle or at least strength. I have been exercising regularly with walking and weight lifting to try and minimize muscle loss and loss of bone strength. What ever I do I seem unable to prevent the loss of strength

Circulating oestrogen receptor mutations and splice variants in advanced prostate cancer.
Newish study below [1]. (Probably only of interest to those already familiar with the PCa estrogen issue.) When I was examining the PCa literature by hormone in 2004, I was intrigued by the newly discovered estrogen receptor ERβ. There wasn't much to go on, but it seemed that "classic" ER, renamed ERα

Early Hypo/Hashi's Complicated By Adrenal/Low Cortisol
Greetings everyone: Finally got fed up with my family doctor who knows nothing and went two routes - endocrinologist (my doctor reluctantly gave a referral) and naturopath. Symptoms I have just about every symptom of hypothyroidism I have ever read and I am confirmed Hashi's by antibodies and ultrasound

What's my next option?
Had my lap in January this year where they removed some tissue and inserted a mirena coil. Was in absolute hell for the next few months as i was told "i'd have to wait 3 - 6 months" to be seen again. I waited 8 months. Put on Decapeptyl SR injections (i'm terrified of needles by the way, so i've been

JOINT HAND PAIN FROM AROMASIN
Hi Ladies, Saw my oncologist today for my 3 month follow up. I'm having severe pain on my thumb n pinky is becoming disfigured? I'm suspecting it's the aromasin. He told me yo stop for about 2 weeks..if it improves it's the aromasin. He might switch me to tamoxifen. I'm 4 years out.. Has anyone else

Coming off the pill with stage 4 endometriosis
Hey everyone, looking for a bit of advice. I’ve been taking a combination pill of some kind for over 10 years, for the last 3 years or so Yasmin. Not consistent benefit from it to be honest and my endo grew at its most aggressive rate whilst taking it actually. I had all my endo except on my diaphragm

Hello I’m a 38 year old woman who has two kids. Ive always struggled with my female hormones since I started puberty. Anyway, I was wondering whether people out their could tell me about having low estrogen, how it has effected them and what treatments they use? I am only at the stage of suspecting I

2 Tapers or NOT 2 Tapers......
Hi again everyone - hope you can help. Forgot to mention yesterday whilst visiting my GP she informed me of the latest findings re taking HRT - the risk factors have increased. I had a total hysterectomy 20 years ago and take 1mg of Oestrogen daily since which I am happy to do. However she has now advised

Menopause HRT on levothyroxine ? Can anyone share experiences and contra indications ?
Is anyone on here on HRT along with taking Levothyroxine ? I’ve just read an article about oestrogen and how supplementing with it via HRT can cause more harm than good. If you have Hashimotos apparently our liver can’t get rid of oestrogen so it is secreted into our skin and organs and can cause damage

IVF and diabetes
So I don't know if this will help anyone here, but having been through a few IVF rounds with a few different clinics I thought I'd share what I learned. 1. IVF doctors know pretty much NOTHING about diabetes. Your GP can tell you that your blood sugar levels are perfect but unless they're in normal (

Seen hormone specialist, more confused than ever...!
and I therefore need to take more, even more than the recommended maximum dosage: now, I should use three pumps of
Oestrogel
every day, along with 100 mg of Utrogestan.

Endocrinology
Hi everyone, after a 6 month wait, I finally got my appointment for endocrinology. Saw a nurse practitioner not a doctor. Not that I’m not complaining about that (I’m a nurse myself) My GP increased my levothyoxine 6 months ago from 75mcg to 100mcg (was on 75 for 20 years) at my insistence due to symptoms

A Little Help Please...
Hi folks, I hope you can help. I was finally diagnosed with severe endometriosis last Thursday, following a laparoscopy. Also had to have 1 ovary removed and had ablation of the womb lining as consultant originally thought that would resolve the heavy painful periods. I didn’t think I was doing too

Soy isoflavones and thyroid disease (Hashimoto's)
For the past six months, I've been suffering from low mood and mood swings that I put down to menopause (I'm 50). I was put on estrogel and Utrogestan and felt somewhat better but not optimal. A friend of mine who did not get 100% improvement with HRT tried Menopause support by A. Vogel and it has worked

Estrogen/progesterone ratio: go off estrogen or increase progesterone?
However, given that I use
Oestrogel
(two pumps daily for 25 consecutive days), my estradiol levels don't seem that high...just above menopausal levels while on HRT.
