cellulite in legs related to thyroid?
I have been exercising the same as always and eating clean, but have recently suffered from a cellulite appearance in my legs (when pressing on the skin or walking you can see it only). I am wondering if it is in fact celulite or water refention, and whether it is related to my Hashimoto’s disease.

Bladder & Urethra Issue
RP 2007 and EBRT 2009. I've had intermittent hematuria for many years and on 3 occasions blood clots have caused obstruction and inability to urinate. I've learned to self catheterize in these situations which has usually resolved the issue after a few days. This time it's more severe. Heavy bleeding

Could this be PMR.?
I haven’t posted any thing for months but lately I’ve been feeling quite grim. My GCA after about 3 years seems to be in remission and all seemed relatively well except for what my (sadly , retired) Gp described as my ‘knackered back’. Now I have pain everywhere- hips, neck, elbows and ankles. Even

EMBARK Study: Enzalutamide +/- ADT
Results of the EMBARK study was published this week (10/19/23) in NEJM. It compared high risk BCR PCa treated in 3 groups: Lupron ADT alone. Enzalutamide plus ADT. Celiac testing and Obinutuzumab
So I am getting tested for celiac disease. I've known I had issues with gluten for years, and my grandma had it, but it never got that bad. Now I've had diarrhea for months and am losing weight - so it seems sensible to get it checked out. But I'm on V & O, completed the O infusions in July (about

Wrist and hand operation.
Hi again lovely helpful people. I am due to have a wrist and knuckle replacements (MCPJ silastic replacement) and intrinsic releases (tendons I think). It’s a big deal and not without risks I’m very worried. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar operation? Thank you 🙏

Prednisone side effects
I've been on Lupron/Abi/Pred for about 13 months. Never had high blood pressure prior to this ADT treatment. Was warned that high BP was one of the primary side effects of my treatment plan. Pretty quickly, I developed elevated BP and I am on 50mg of Losartan daily. 25mg wasn't enough. I am also

ENT visit
So, I got to see adn ENT after a referral from my GP. However, it wasnt an ENT but a very nice assistant who did a hearing test, which I have had already and also a pressure test. What was interesting was that the pressure test was normal on my "good" ear but could not be performed on my bad ear.

Both eyes together!
Does anyone have experience of having surgery on both eyes at the same session? If so I would love to hear from you. My consultant is doing cataract and drainage improvement surgery at the same time for both eyes in the same session under general anaesthetic. I know this is a fairly uncommon arrangement

Possible AN on my left, awaiting an MRI but struggling to take my mind off it
Good morning, I've struggled with a bit of tinnitus for a while so eventually contacted my GP about it 2 years ago. I also often feel a bit dizzy and stuff but I'm a long term Hypothyroidism and pernicious anaemia patient, so that kind of comes with the territory! GP sent me to Specsavers for a hearing

FIT and Feacal Calprotectin
Hi. Hoping someone can ease my nerves as I feel sick and cannot sleep due to worry. I am a 30 year old female with 3 children aged 9, 6 and 1. I did a FIT test due to seeing blood on the tissue when I wiped a couple of weeks ago. I don’t poo very often (once or twice a week). And tmi but my poo was

Bariatric surgery, what do you think?
I've been thinking about doing a stomach reduction surgery (gastric sleeve) because I can't lose weight. Since I have problems with my thyroid (RAI ablation in 2012) I gained 25 kg(90 kg in the past and now I've 115/1,87 cm)), I have tried all the treatments(ndt, synthetic) that have not yielded results

Low or high stomach acid? this is the question!
I recently spoke to my Gp saying I think I have low stomach acid rather than too much (symptoms are similar for both) I was prescribed Lansoprazole which I only taken rarely. She said she would swap me onto pantoprazole (aren’t they the same drug?) I have a stomach hernia so I have to be careful. When
