This is my showcase of the weird red spots I get on my fingers! I think I have posted one of the pics the first time it happened, but since then I get the exact same spots from time to time, so it wasn't a one off.
Does anyone else get these? Anyone know what they are? Of course I've been googling and diagnosed myself with all sorts of things but the closest I have come is vasculitis.
They come up in a matter of minutes and hang around for a few days, go from red, purple and then fade into brown. They seem to be like flat blood blisters and are always perfectly round.
I've had them on my toes before too.

I have had these for some years now and was told that they were vasculitis. i have no idea if they are significant - it's so difficult to get any opinion apart from 'Let's wait and see what happens.' In other words, by themselves, they aren't doing any harm, but whether they indicate anything significant developing no-one knows.
I agree oldtimer2; not particularly worried about the spots themselves but more about what they might signify. So, I have low platelets which is a known flipside to having the antiphospholipid antibodies (one thickens, the other thins the blood 🤔). I also have Raynaud's but these spots appear in all temperatures. I get random bruising all over and sometimes really dark purple red with perfect border and I think they must just be the same thing but appear slightly differently on the skin on fingers and toes.
All the other things like dry mouth dry eyes, sores in nose and mouth, sinus problems (new) are bothersome but not desperate however all these blood things worry me because of the family history of leukaemia although from what I read it all seems to be by the symptoms of lupus.
I've got rheumatology appointment in 2 weeks so will take my pics with me!
I have had in the past based on your description think they may be to do with circulation of the blood in the small blood vessels but without showing your Dr and discussing you will never really know. They do seem to be infrequent so possibly not a major reason for concern for any of us. Take care
That doesn’t look like Vasculitus to me but I’m not medically qualified but my mum had it. And I’d not Google it , it does look harmless enough but send a photo to your GP if you’re really worried. If you take Warferin or Riveroxaban or Apixaban it might be of concern but sometimes we get worried about things which are sent to annoy but are harmless.
