Latest PSA
Jim's latest PSA 0.1 Dr Mohamad says we'll soon be undetectable. I know a fast drop isn't always good news, but he started Casodex in December, Lupron (4 month) January, and Abiraterone March. So hoping a six month to 0.1 is actually good news. I'm happy for the time being. Should start Prostate Radiation

Assumptions to increase life expendency
I have been on Lupron since August 2020. If I stay on Lupron for a total of 3 years total I could become Castrate resistant. My understanding is that I will then not be able to benefit from physical castration to get extra years of life. Please help me understand.

Cabazitaxel dosage & frequency?
Hello fellow voyagers! I have been offered Cabazitaxel in one of three dosages: either 25mg ( FDA original recommendation), 20 ( equally effective as per Firstana Trial ) or 16 ( untested). The choice is mine. The frequency at my hospital is every 3 weeks. Has anyone had Cabazitaxel on a weekly basis

Just read a private chat from 2 years ago...This was my reply. Lu-177 thoughts (then/now) and the reality of "life in Omaha"
the following words are from a chat with another member here from 2 years ago. Wow...so much has happened...nothing really good...but my prediction of doing Lu 177 was spot on. I had (at this point) viewed it as a miracle drug coming up. Now that I've done it...and had (so far) horrible results and

Lupron Experience
I am close to deciding on a treatment plan of HDBT followed by 4+ weeks of EBRT. Also, would have 18 months on Lupron. Am a bit concerned with the possible Lupron side effects. Would greatly appreciate hearing from others who have undergone similar treatment and how things went with the Lupron? I was

Liver problems with Zytiga
An aximum scan picked up three cancerous lymph nodes in my pelvic area. I got a 3 month injection of Lupron on 5/18 and started 1000 mg generic Zytiga on 5/26. A blood test on 6/21 showed very elevated liver enzymes; ast was 130 and alt was 215, so I was taken off Zytiga. A week later my enzymes were

My journey with PCa
My journey started with yearly PSA test. 4.3 to 3.9 up to 4.5 at the end of 2019. At that point my urologist thought he felt something so did 6 biopsies. 3 of the biopsies contained cancer ( Gleason 7 4+3). I elected to have robotic radical prostatectomy at the end of March 2020. My prostate, semilvascial

Low PSA Expression
My PSA was 3.5 at diagnosis (1.5 yrs ago). G9 Mets to bladder and pelvic bone. Lupron and Erleada instantly brought PSA to undetectable and for the past 1.5 yrs. Question: Seems unusual that my PCa was this advanced with a 3.5 PSA? Going forward, I’m also concerned that PSA is a key marker for me. Make

Long delay getting new therapy
Hi all, I have an aggressive PCa with a monthly doubling PSA of 47 plus ( pelvic mets plus lower lumbar spine and one proximal femur). I have pain and am on opiates so I may be fuzzy! My MO and I talked a couple of weeks ago and suspended Xofigo due to monthly doubling PSA and the MO promised a decision

ADT with Orgovyx
My PSA went up to 40 and Doc put me on Casodex, PSA came down to 24. Two months later (still on Casodex) Psa went up to 56. Doc wants me on Orgovyx. Orgovyx has a list of side effects that seem worse than Lupron. DEATH by heart attack /stroke are disturbing. Orgovyx has ALL the other Lupron side effects

New to the prostate cancer community
I am 76 years old and recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. A rise in PSA from 5.4 to 7.4 plus a bump felt on my prostate led to an MRI scan. That showed a 2.5x2 cm PIRADS 5 area on right side and smaller PIRADS 3 on the left. A biopsy with 20 samples, 12 random and 4 each of the two areas found
